We decided to fit Brighton into our plans of spending a week travelling from Scotland down the east coast and back up the west of England, so Brighton seemed like a good place to visit for a couple of days since we have a friend who has moved there.

Our Friend took us to Brighton Lanes and we were surprised at how quaint it is. It must be very old as it almost makes you feel like you have gone back in time!

The lanes lead around the town centre and contain all sorts of weird and wonderful shops from clothing to antiques, hand made sweets, health food shops, hand made beauty products and numerous jewellery shops. And all at competative prices.

It made a nice change from the usual high street shops and we spend many hours browsing their wares. Although we could have spent longer.

It is an ideal place for gifts as you are sure to purchase something out of the ordinary.

We were very impressed with Brighton and the lanes and intend to fly down next time to investigate further!!

We used to go when I was little, my dad, my sister and me! We got all we needed for a picnic while wandering round the other shops and went and sat on the beach for our lunch, usually fresh shell fish with crusty bread and butter, my dad carried a sharp knife to cut the bread and spread it. He wouldn't get away with carrying one now, I went two years ago with my son and it didn't seem to have changed much at all in the time. Sue

I've never been, but I'd love to go sometime. Sounds brilliant. Lynne x

Somewhere I would probably enjoy - I like looking for something a little unusual. Maureen
