Is this the best sunday lunch in brighton
Advantages: Great sunday lunch, friendly staff Disadvantages: Small venue
...It is possible that the lion and lobster is the closest i can get to a home cooked meal in a pub. Fresh veggies, loadsa meat, great greavy. Fantastic beer and lovely staff, what more could you ask for?. I suppose the the down side to a place having such good grub is that it is popular! so either get there early or you will be waiting for a table in the bar, but is that such a bad thing when can enjoy one of the many beers they have on tap.
The price ... ...you are seated, Lamb, pork, beef, nut roast etc. I have visited a number of places recently and at the moment the Lion & Lobster is at the top, but there will be many more. Will it stay up there or will another venue take over? Watch this space! ...

The Best Tapas Ever
Advantages: Great Atmosphere, Friendly Staff, Makes you feel as if you are in Spain Disadvantages: Always Packed & not a lot of room for pushchairs
I first found this restaurant when i was a student in Brighton and it is fantastic. It serves authentic Spanish Tapas from morning until night: There are a good range of dishes, most of which include garlic or spices. There is also plenty of choice for vegetarians and the salads are excellent. You need to order approximately 3 to 4 dishes per person but as they are only priced between £3 & £4 it doesn't add up too much. It is owned and run by a spanish ...

Brighton's best bistro
Advantages: price, fabulous food Disadvantages: none
...restaurant in Brighton ! Bistro Vino has a friendly atmosphere, fabulous food and is outstanding value for money. Located in Preston Street, its a stone's throw (or should that be pebble's throw!) from the sea front, next to the main shopping street. The fayre is Italian, with fresh seafood a speciality, of course. But the special Menu of the day is a real bargain, and all the food is of the highest standard.
A charming bistro - perfect after a ...

Asda Brighton Marina
Advantages: Fairly Cheap Disadvantages: Terrible Food | Spartan Interior
...and more prosperous so the Asda store, which was almost the first business to open there, is becoming more and more incongruous. Rumour has it that they are going to extend it as it is always packed.
The Cafe is upstairs and serves hot food daily. I think the best description of the food is 'school dinners'. They do vegetarian meals and good hot food but the food is often stodgy, soggy and overcooked. If you like chips and pasta then this is the ... ...trail of people through the eating area to the toilets is a bit off-putting, not helped by the spartan seating area. I would liken it to a works canteen from the 1970s rather than a Walmart flagship!
There are no free newspapers but people tend to help themselves from the shop downstairs. There is a good view of the car park and the fly-over!
I've been twice - never again! ...

THE LAUGHING ONION STAYS OPEN
Advantages: A night of magic Disadvantages: None
THE LAUGHING ONION STAYS OPEN DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND
Jean Jacques has been inundated with regulars wishes, sad that he is retiring. Consequently he has issued the statement below & is now continuing to open twice monthly. He does ultimatley intend to stop the cooking, washing-up, cleaning-up etc & just concentrate on the entertaining. Consequently a new lease will still be available for an appropriate person to take over and continue the good popular ... ...to carry on entertaining in the restaurant twice monthly.
JJ's message to his friends:
"I would like to thank you all for your support since 1976 and for the calls asking me not retire.
Therefore, I have decided to open every other Saturday".
Jean-Jacques
P.S.
Wow, I caused so much confusion eh? No, I'm not Jean-Jacques; he's 75 & can only just operate a phone, let alone a computer!
I'm a regular customer & friend. He was a little upset that ...
