Ideal Place For A Family Break

Advantages: Health Club, Breakfast, Located Near Motorway (Easy To Get To)
Disadvantages: Located Near Motorway (No Views)

We have family in Bristol, and as our family is large (4 children) we need to stay in a hotel. We had stayed previously in budget hotels, but after a bit of research, I found this hotel was almost as cheap, indeed with the breakfast included, I have even managed to stay here cheaper than a budget hotel would cost me. Every time I have visited, the staff have dealt with my check in extremely well, once we had a problem with a family room being unavailable, ...
...nice, but not spectacular with a double bed and a sofa that converts into 2 single beds, and they put a cot in for the baby also at no extra cost. There is a TV, which has the basic channels, but films are available at an extra cost. There are also playstation games available again at an extra cost. Poor 2nd floor room

Advantages: good location
Disadvantages: old room and poor atmosphere

I checked in Thistle in Bristol - service is what you expect to be good, but the the 2nd floor room I check in have broken toilet tile and broken window which have a wind tubien running and the bird sing from 5 in the morning!! When I listed all my complains, the young chap keep asking me do I enjoy my stay on every complain I raised and then finally giving me a complain card which till today - I still have not heard anyone from Thistle so I assume ...

Holiday Inn Bristol (Filton) - Loved it!

Advantages: Great value, staff attitude/professionalism,cleanliness, facilities
Disadvantages: External appearance

...the first visit to the Holiday Inn at Filton. About 3or4 miles from the city centre, the hotel is just off J1 of the m32 and about 1 mile from J19 of the m4. Set in acres of park and woodland the only problem with the hotel is the rather dated exterior which could do with a freshen up. Highly recommended

Advantages: Very clean, good facilities, friendly staff, EXCELLENT food
Disadvantages: Car park exit tickets with time limit!

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The rooms were very clean and in great condition with all the usual extras available- mini bar, tea and coffee making faclities, complimentary shampoos etc., TV. The highlight of my stay at the hotel was the amazing breakfast....anything you could possibly want and no choosing between continental and full english- you could have it all! The hot breakfast included eggs (scrambled and fried), bacon ...
...fried bread, mushrooms, tomatoes and fresh toast, all cooked to perfection. Then there was a choice of pastries and croissants that you could heat up yourself on a little grill with a conveyer belt (!) and have with any jam or honey. THEN there was a choice of cereals, dried fruits and selection of yoghurts (Muller Fruit Corners included!) and finally a selection of fresh fruits (not tinned).
