Holiday Inn Bristol (Filton) - Loved it!
Advantages: Great value, staff attitude/professionalism,cleanliness, facilities Disadvantages: External appearance
...the first visit to the Holiday Inn at Filton.
About 3or4 miles from the city centre, the hotel is just off J1 of the m32 and about 1 mile from J19 of the m4. Set in acres of park and woodland the only problem with the hotel is the rather dated exterior which could do with a freshen up.
At initial reception we found the welcome to be genuinely warm and friendly. We received a brief rundown of the hotel facilities and services, and all my questions ... ...Nice indoor pool and fitness facilities were also available for hotel guests and as a membership club for non residents.
My wife and I were most impressed by the Holiday Inn Filton and will most definitely stay again in the near future. I have no hesitation in recommending. ...

Nippy Hotel.
Advantages: great hotel Disadvantages: prices
...hotel is part of the Ramada chain and it was very clean- housemaids cleaned every morning, the room service was expensive as imaginable but what can you do when you are hungry at 11 o clock at night!, the facilities were excellent. There was an ok sized pool, a gym, a sauna, a steam room an lots of other bits. Accessibility There are two lifts in this hotel which makes it a lot easier to get to your room and the dining hall etc.. There is a car park ... ...you are not staying in the hotel which is not too good. Rooms The rooms are of a good size with all of the mod cons you would expect to find. Kettle, Iron, Plasma TV, safe, mini fridge, en suite, comfy bed, storage space and lots more. Prices We got a deal for 30£ a night which was great, I think the average price is around 50-60£ per night. This is not too bad at all and it was all well worth it. Good Points *Clean *Access to services (pool etc.) ...

Aztec civilisation
Advantages: Convenient for M4/M5, Child friendly, Pool/spa, friendly staff, good food Disadvantages: wedding venue
This hotel is an absolute dream for a weekend away with the kids. Located just by the junction of the M4 and M5 at Almondsbury this could not be easier to find. Parking is free and plenty of it. The welcome from the management was great, they simply took our bags from us at the front door and allowed us to go with the kids straight to the pool complex whilst they delivered the bags to our room.
Throughout the weekend the staff remembered our names ... ...rooms were nice without being ostentatious and the views out of the widow were merely the car park. But the rooms were quiet and a good night sleep was had by all.
Our main surprise was the quality of dinner where the attentive staff gave us just the right amount of attention and were pleased to have chldren at the table. A childrens menu was available and smaller portions of the main menu were also available. The children's menu contained all the ...

Hotel du vin is a corker!
Advantages: Fantastic bed, monsoon shower, great food, beautiful linen, central location, classy Disadvantages: not cheap!
...sommalier to chambermaid.
The hotel is located so you can "do" the city centre including @ bristol (the science museum), the now trendy harbourside development, the imax cinema - if its still open - and it is only a stone's throw to the cathedral - brilliant traditional choir - go and sit in a 5.15 evensong every weekday if you can.
Expect to pay £150 for a double room for the night. Oooh so worth it if you are looking for a bit of luxury.
They ...
