Today I went to Bristol by the train and we got off at Bristol Temple Meads...
Temple Meads is in the centre of Bristol and is a very large train station. It has a total of 12 platforms and is a tidy and clean station. In Bristol there are 2 different stations that I can remember of...Temple Meads and Bedminster which is the smaller of the two.
We strolled down passed the River Avon and after 15 minutes or so we reached Broadmead. Broadmead is the best place to shop in Bristol with it having many different shops. In Broadmead, there is a shopping Mall called The Galleries. That has 3 different levels and on each level there must be about 30 shops or so so there are a lot of shops in The Gallaries. The good thing about all these shops is that they are all pretty decent. In there, there are shops like Electronics Boutique, Hair Salons, Clothes shops, Mobile Phone shops, WHSmith etc. so there are shops to suit each person of the family.
After spending about 2 hours in The Gallaries, we decided to be brave and battle with the rain, we went outside to the actual street named Broadmead. In that part of the shopping area, there are two roads: Broadmead and another one that I don't know the name of. Those two roads meet and forms like a junction so you have a choice of 4 different ways.
Down one of the ways, there is the new House Of Fraiser department store with several levels in. On bottom level there is all the make up part and perfume and even a nail manicure thing where the ladies can have their nails nicely done and painted all for an unexpensive price. Then on Level two there is a house accessories part. The next level is televisions and things like that. Below the ground floor there is a floor that has clothes that are all expensive, sadly I couldn't afford to buy anything there.
Broadmead is a great place to shop but there is another place to shop in Bristol, well it's not exactly in Bristol, it's on the outskirts of it...
CRIBBS CAUSEWAY...
At Cribbs there is a massive shopping Mall called The Mall. It is extermeley long and has two levels. The Mall must have about 500 shops in there and they are shops like Boots, WHSmith, Expensive clothes shops, mobile phone shops etc. On the second level there is a large food court with places like burger king, Pizza Hut etc. The Mall is a good shopping day out.
Bristol is a great place to shop and everywhere you look there is a shop! I love it!

Advantages: Really gives an insight into Bristol's Maritime Heritage. Gives children a chance to learn by seeing. Excellent in all aspects. Disadvantages: Don't try to compete with the locals during the rush hour home!
