Advantages: A clean hotel in the heart of Barcelona. Disadvantages: Web page not very trustworthy.

For reasons too complicated to get into, we left it a little late to book our hotel in Barcelona, and when searching online, found that we didn't really have as much choice as we had hoped for. Hotels were either very expensive, or about 20 km out of the city. Finally, we found HotelLyon through lastminute.com. Let me quote from the website: "Due to its perfect location HotelLyon is ideal for young tourists who want to discover the vibrant city of Barcelona while spending more for fun than for accommodation. Advantages: Wonderful city Disadvantages: Pollution

Advantages: Close to the Metro station, 2 stops away from the Bastille, lively surroundings, plenty of local shops Disadvantages: Very basic and functional, small with tatty decor, scary lift

The real cost would have amounted to £169 but we got subsidies from the government.
We stayed at the 2 star hotel "Les Relais de Paris Lyon Bastille", situated at less than a 3 minutes walk to the nearest Metro station and 2 stops away from "Le Bastille". The surroundings of the hotel were really quite charming and gave it a local feeling of a typical Parisian...
