At the very top of this poll was the Britannia Manchester Airport hotel where I had the "pleasure" of staying last October.
We chose this particular hotel because the literature promised "a hassle free start to your holiday." A search through various websites for cheap hotels around Manchester Airport brought up the details of ... ...past the very plush looking Britannia Countryhouse Hotel. For a moment we got quite excited but soon realised that our bed for the night was a few hundred yards further up the road.

I would like to take this opportunity in sharing my experience in the Manchester Airport Hotel. My friend and I had booked a room (no. 321) for one night in the Manchester Airport Hotel for 11th August 2007 at the cost of 49 British pounds. Upon unpacking I noticed that of the two towels provided in the bathroom, the smaller one, showed a large very yellow stain running down the middle of it, the larger one was acceptably clean. One additional large ... ...and requested further towels from the young lady answering the phone. Within 2 minutes the night Manager rang back and suggested that I "look in the wardrobe". Having stated that I had indeed already done this, the "manager" started a debate with me.
