...the choice of airline – Britannia – as it seemed a very prestigious and professional company to take to the air with. Certainly, Britannia today is a prominent player in the airline industry with annual passenger numbers exceeding eleven million, providing over 100 destinations from eighteen UK airports. Its fleet consists of five Boeing 737-800s, eighteen Boeing 757-200s (in addition to another four being Extended Range versions), six Boeing 767-200ERs ... ...fleet that Britannia can offer such a wide range of destinations from so many different airports within the United Kingdom.
Britannia is based at Luton Airport and now directly employs over 3,100 people. The current airline image is being revitalised and instead of a more ‘traditional’ livery, they are changing all of their fleet to come into line with the Thomson light blue winking logo. Advantages: Excellent customer service, good meals, free soft drinks Disadvantages: Not as 'upper class' as other airlines but I don't care
...carrier for our flight was Britannia Airways. Despite the fact that I have only flown 4 or 5 times in my life, I would like to say with confidence that Britannia Airways is the best flying experience I have had (!).
This is really a personal opinion, I will tell you now. I will not be writing about the technicalities - rather than regurgitate facts about where Britannia fly from, where to, how often and so on, I would like to direct you to their ... ...is, went up to the Britannia Airways check-in desk when we arrived at Gatwick and asked what was the latest time I could back out if I really wanted to. The lady behind the desk, who was called Julie, came round and asked me how I was feeling and explained that she would put my luggage on standby so it wouldn’t be loaded on to the plane until I stepped on the aircraft myself, just in case I decided not to go. She explained that I could also ...

I have flown with Britannia several times to Mallorca. I have always enjoyed their service and have never had any problems with them. I thought I'd write a quick review of the experiences I have had with the airline. I have never experienced a late departure with this airline!
We (Mum, Dad, Me + Mate) usually book with Britannia online. This saves a lot of hassle and speeds the whole process up. The website (www.britanniadirect.com) is very easy ... ...only reason we book with Britannia is because they are the only company who can provide rooms for us at a really nice hotel in Palma Nova, the Palma Nova Palace! Advantages: Food was nice Disadvantages: Cramped with no legroom and no width
...first time I’d flown with Britannia Airways and thought I’d expect the same sort of cramped leg room you get with other charter airlines; I was wrong. It’s worse!
Booking and Tickets:
Let me start from the beginning. Our flights were booked by James Villa holidays from Birmingham to Malaga as part of our villa holiday. We could have got the flights cheaper, and from East Midlands, with EasyJet but we would have had to pay a surcharge for the privilege. ... ...their other brands) of which Britannia is a part. We had lots of blank pages in ours which I would assumed would have insurance details and such like. They did include a plan of the aircraft and an opportunity to reserve seats or upgrade to premium seating.
I contacted Britannia through their website to ask how much it would cost to upgrade the seats. If it was going to be £80 or so, it would be worth it. The answer came back (2 weeks later) that ...

...that I have flown with Britannia airways more then ten times and I feel they are a great airline. I am currently a member of staff for 'the world of tui' which is the company who own Britannia airways. The main reason I am writing this review is to give both my personal view and to clear up some contradictory information contained in previous reviews. Britannia airways is one of the longest established charter airlines in the UK, it dates back to ... ...all airports in the UK Britannia use ServisAir for ground handling. Check-in form your resort airport will vary depending on local conditions but will usually be of the same standard.
Pre booked seats.
There are very many popular misconceptions when it comes to pre booked seats. Many people see it as £10 for nothing (they believe that you can just turn up at the airport early and get the seats anyway). Obviously to a certain extent this is true. ...
