Basically I'm a great believer in 'you get what you pay for' and I think with Britannia you do. If you are travelling within Europe with Britannia let's face it - you've bought a cheap flight there's no denying it, and I think for the price you pay you get excellent value for money. We cannot expect schedule airline service on a charter 'bucket' flight! Anyway I went to Larnaca with Britannia last year flying from Newcastle and I was impressed with the flight. The cabin crew were friendly and very polite and went out of their way to help me. I was also quite impressed with the food (apart from Breakfast on the way back), but the drinks were expensive to buy so my advice is take your own soft drinks (you have to buy alcoholic ones on board). The inflight entertainment was ok - a few repeats of BBC programmes, but they helped pass the time. You didn't have to pay for headsets like on some other planes. Yes the seats were cramped, but no more than any other charter and it's bearable for a few hours. You also get the daily paper which is excellent on the return!
Hi you've summed up the basics and yes I agree you get what you pay for - but would be helpful to know more about booking, check in, seating, did you pay for the food, etc. Cheers, VB
