I stayed at this hotel when I went to London for a two night stay, it was a travel package which included coach travel down, we didn't know where we were staying until we got there and believe me if I had have known I wouldn't have gone. The outside looked okay and the lobby didn't look too bad either but then we went in our room, it was very dark and dull and very dated, it was fairly clean though. The toilet and shower were seperate the toilet needed updating also, there was tiles in it and they were cracked and looked as if they had been stuck on by somone who didn't know what they were doing. There was no bath just a stand alone shower squashed into a cupboard that was hidden with a door.
The food- The travel package included breakfast and tea, there wasn't much choice, if your fussy your stuffed basically, and it was all cold and both meal sittings served the same food, we went to macdonnalds on one night and to find one of them we had to walk for about 2 miles at least. The dining room itself was yet again dull and tired. There was one family there with a child of eight or nine, this child didn't eat of of the food provided as there was so little choice, the poor family will have paid for their meals and they will have had to go else where for something to eat.
The staff- the staff weren't very friendly and they shut the bar really early even though they could see that the few people they did have staying at the were still wanting to buy drinks and then when asked why it was shutting so ealry they were not very nice about it. They took along time when setting the food out and didn't keep you up dated as to how long it would take as it wasn't put out on time ( I suppose that bit should be in with the food part). All of the staff were foreign, there wasn't a true english person in the hotel staff.
Location- On an eveniong there wasn't much to do, there was only one shop nearby, yes, there were a few pubs but they were all full as it was a friday night, other than that there wasn't much there unless you walked to the centre of Hampstead.
Overall- I don't believe there is actually anything good to say about this hotel, it was a bit disappointment!
