Rule Britannia!

Advantages: Cheap! Central Location.
Disadvantages: Soft Pillows, dirty bathroom.

expensive. So, it was time for some shopping around? Doing a load of searching and whatnot on Google, I stumbled upon this, the Britannia Hotel. Located down New Street, Birmingham, and at just £35 per night as the advanced fee ? it was a bargain. Finding The Hotel Being pretty poor at most sort of planning, I didn?t really take much note of exactly where the Hotel was, just that it was somewhere down New Street. So, it actually took us a bit of finding, but that was mainly due to us not knowing Birmingham at all. All I remember now, is it is next to Primark, so that?s that. The Room We had room 225, located right at the end of the maze-like corridor, on floor two. Opening the door, the room was pretty much how we expected it to be ? as basic as humanly possible. The Welbeck Hotel, Nottingham

Advantages: Very Central Location, Good Value For Money
Disadvantages: 10am Checkout

When I needed to find some cheap Hotel accommodation in Nottingham City Centre a couple of Weeks ago, the Internet was the logical place to start my search. I tried the usual chains including Travelodge, but since my stay was less than one week away I quickly found that I was struggling. Eventually I stumbled upon the Welbeck Hotel. Location wise it seemed perfect, right in the centre of the City, and price wise it was well within my budget too, and so I confirmed my Online booking. FIRST IMPRESSIONS Well to be honest the first thing that impressed me was the location. It was less than five minutes walk from the Lace Market, and well within walking distance of all of the other Shops and Attractions. The next thing that appealed to me was the design of the building itself. It is quite a large, modern looking, Hotel on five ...

Review of The Welbeck Hotel, Nottingham

Birmingham Britannia Hotel - Average

Advantages: central location, reasonable room size
Disadvantages: dated furniture, noisy generator, rubbish towels

I stayed at this hotel for work purposes on Monday 3rd March in a single room on the sixth floor. We paid £70 B&B. My initial reaction was to be extremely negative about this hotel, however, on reflection i think it is important to point out some of its good points. I would not say it was an enjoyable experience, however, it was adequate and i've had worse! On the plus side - This is a proper city centre hotel - right in the centre of town, close to shops. If you are visiting Birmingham to shop, this is perfect. The kettle and toilet were clean, which is always a good start! The member of staff who booked me in was pleasant and helpful. There was an error with our booking, we had 4 rooms booked, but only two of us were on the list. She gave me the list to check through - which had other guest's names and personal details ...
