I went to Manchester recently to go and see a concert, so me and my friend stayed in this hotel. When pulling up to the hotel it looked funky, but it's totally different when you get inside. It had a very old fashioned decor and some of it seemed mismatched. The reception desk was long with 3 staff members behind it, but only one member of staff seemed to want to help. They never mentioned what time food was served or where either.
After we checked in we got in the lift which was large and would be big enough if you had more luggage. It did advertise the restaurant but it didn't tell you what food was available.
When we got up to the room and it was quite small but very hot. So we looked behind the curtains to see if we could open the windows but to our surprise there was none. There was air conditioning and a fan but they were just too loud to sleep. The bed was very hard and lumpy to. The bathroom thank god was clean and a reasonable size.
When we checked out the next morning we were able to store our luggage to be collected later, the room was very safe and was locked.
Even though i've put the quality of food and drink down as average I couldn't actually review the restaurants or bar as we never went in as we only had a short time there and wanted to eat elsewhere.
The good points were that it was only a 15 minute walk to the arena and just around the corner for all the shops. So next time I stay in Manchester I will be booking another hotel.

Sounds like they could do with a bit more customer service training - and they're not making the most of the features the hotel offers.

I also stayed here recently and will probably not stay again. The big advantage is it is in the city centre so not far to walk and I also thought the breakfast was excellent!!
