Britannia, Sorrento

I organised a trip from work for a a party of 42 adults. We stayed for 3 nights

The hotel turned out to be up a fairly steep hill about 10 mins walk from the town and 25 mins from the railway station. There is however a bus stop on bus route 'A' outside the hotel..

The rooms at the hotel do vary. The basement rooms have no views and bars on the windows. The front facing rooms (which i stayed in) have a fantastic view ...
...are next to a busy road which is noisy 24 hours a day, and yes it did disturb our sleep. The rear rooms face a brickwall but are the quietest and coolest.

No rooms have air conditioning some have a fan. Some rooms have showers others a bath.My room had a bath with a hand held shower but the bath plug did'nt fit the bath!!! Towels were supplied but were more like table clothes.
Most rooms have a telly but there are only Italian ... more

The front facing rooms (which i stayed in) have a fantastic view across the bay of Naples towards Mont Vesuvos but are next to a busy road which is noisy 24 hours a day, and yes it did disturb our sleep. The rear rooms face a brickwall but are the quietest and coolest.

Most rooms have a telly but there are only Italian channels available.No tea or coffee making facilities in any rooms.
However all rooms are clean and the beds were comfy.

Breakfast was a joke. It consisted of bread rolls, Two slices of cheese and Salami with watery Orange(i think) tea and coffee.
After the first morning only a couple of people bothered with breakfast. We went in to town were there is much better value for money.

There is a bar, however it ran out of beer and some spiirts on our last night.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful and polite. The hotel also sells tickets for the local bus service which if bought in town are only one Euro we were charged one euro 25 at the hotel.

According to its webb site it has a chef . I never saw any signs of one and we wer'nt offered any alternetives to breakfast.

Just a final note out of the 42 people in my group nobody would return to this hotel!!!!
