Remember that in order to take advantage of the offers here:
You need a valid Airmiles account (register at www.airmiles.co.uk) and you can use the site to check out the latest offers for flights as well as other items including accommodation and car hire.
Booking with AirMiles: Many moons ago AirMiles used to predominantly provide flights via British Airways, but in recent years they have started to include flights from a host of well-known airlines. AirMiles offers a range of national and international flights and will basically offer most flights anywhere in the world.
As with purchasing normal airline tickets, AirMiles have some great prices for flight that are booked in advance as well as last minute deals and breaks. If you register your email address via their website then they will send you the latest offers which often including short and long haul flights, holidays and city breaks. AirMiles do offer flights etc. from the main UK airports including regional connections, but as with most major Airlines and tour operators, you will find the majority of flights are London based (although they are improving their selections from Manchester all the time!). In terms of last minuet offers, if you see one GRAB IT as soon as possible as they have VERY limited availability! Another way of taking advantage of best prices is to chose less popular flights; i.e. it will be cheaper to fly out to many destinations on a later flight than it would be to catch the early morning flight. Shopping around is the key!!
In terms of accommodation AirMiles also allow you to pay for hotels with miles, although the selection of hotels is adequate it is not the best selection in the world!
Booking with AirMiles is exactly the same as booking any other flight/holiday online in terms of booking either online or via telephone. Payment is accepted via all major credit cards and a booking
confirmation will then be sent to you by post.
What do you pay: AirMiles now offer a variety of ways to pay for your flights/holidays the most basic categories being:
1. Pay entirely with AirMiles but then pay airport taxes etc in money 2. Pay entirely in cash (as you would with any other airline but AirMiles scan sometimes beat other airline process) 3. Pay part-cash and part miles as well as [paying airport taxes on top in money. This is a good option if you don't have enough miles for a particular flight or holiday and the cash/miles necessary varies greatly by flight.

How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
I see now that this is in the correct category. Unfortunately, the review itself is a bit of a problem, since it seems to be more links than your personal experience with this program, and as such, isn't as helpful as it could be.

Sorry, but this just isn't the information that this category is meant for. This category is for your experience FLYING on BA and not all the specials, etc. Perhaps you could ask Ciao to move the review to another category? If so, I'll be happy to re-rate this when its moved.

Lets imagine this from another angle. You write reviews not for us little fledglings that come and rate them. All we do is put the reviews in the right order by ratings. They are for the general public and should be aimed at them. Then think of the subject matter, write it in your own words without all these silly links, and you are halfway to making a good review. You can do it. I am sure of it. Just edit the review so its on topic and aimed at the public and ask us back to re-rate. Rachel X
