Im not what you call I frequent traveller, about twice or three times a year.But in October 1998 I flew with BA long haul for the first time out to Miami via London Heathrow from Newcastle.Ive always tried to stay clear of BA due to there high prices, but this time were the cheapest possible unless I wanted to transfer on route at two different airports.Since I dont like running between terminals when my flights get delayed, I decided to bite the bullet.Never again!!!
We where delayed taken of from Newcastle airport due to the late arrival of some Newcastle United Rugby players.Would BA ever hold a flight for me....I dont really think so.It was only for 10 minutes and I would not have minded if they were the football players.
First thing I dont like about BA is there terrible staff.If I was rude like that in my job I would be at the job centre.They will not help you unless punish hard.Then you can tell its a real effort to do anything.Im sure the wages are that bad.......
I dont like the small and cramp conditions in economy and I cannot afford £4000 for business class.Im 6 foot 2 and find sitting for 9 hours very uncomfortable indead with my legs wedge against the back on the seat infront.The audio didnot work on both directions, but I was able to swap seats on the return.The meals are fowl.I cannot eat them most of the timeand if Im lucky they will serve the meal hot.
Im British and should be proud of the service on the British national carrier.But IM NOT.I always find KLM the best bet via Amsterdam.I like there service.Funny thing is I cannot complain about delays or lost baggage.They rarely happen.My luggage always turns up which is more than can be said for other airlines(I suggest putting mistletoe up at the check in desk....so you can kiss goodbye to your luggage)
