The policy of BA (as told by the staff) is to allow a passenger to put another passenger in a position where their knees are inline with their nose, the position may well cause DVT but this is a comfort issue and not a danger issue acording to the BA staff i have talked to. Even after sending letters and emails i still had no excuse for their behaviour. The only answer that I have managed to get is "we are sorry that you were uncomfortable" the danger issue is ignored time after time. This was the first trip with BA and will be my last, I have flown the with other so called cheaper airlines and found them to be better.
