Having flown loads in recent years mainly transatlantic I thought for a while as to which is the best airline and am absolutely sure it is BA. They have their faults but overall they are better than all the rest. So if you choose to fly BA things to be aware of to make your expearience as good as it can be. Booking, book on line direct with BA.com it is cheaper than anywhere else and in my expearience even beats the discount flight centres. Join the exec club even if you only fly once, this allows you to avoid checkin ques. you can preselect your seats online and check in online before you get to the airport then use fast bag drop, no more ques. Ask for the seat you want, I always request either a bulkhead or exit, and generaly get it. If you are flying with kids you won't get the exit row. If at check in you don't get the seat you want make a request, before boarding you will get called to the desk and 9/10 you will get the seat you asked for. REMEMBER Exec club members get poriority so join ASAP. Food, you can book your dietry requirements online. Seats are the best I have expearienced, way better for both leg room and comfort than Virgin. Entertainment is good but not as good as Virgin, I wish they would realise I want to decide when to watch a movie not wait for them to start it.
So BA is best in my opinion and I hope these few tips improve your experience.
