Delayed Catching BA Baracus' Fly!

Advantages: More Experience Than Virgin Holidays
Disadvantages: Paul's Too Old For Club 18-30 Holidays

We have used British Airways Holidays 3 times in the last couple of years. We took city breaks to Paris + Disneyland Paris, Brussels last year and Copenhagen recently.

We booked the holidays at the British Airways Travel shop in Regent Street, London. The booking procedure took about 1 hour. The staff were very professional + friendly.

You were asked if you needed travel insurance. In the past whilst booking ...
...once a year to Calcutta. British Airways is the most convenient flight to Calcutta. Other airlines, which fly to Calcutta, include Bangladesh Biman, United Arab Emirates, Romanian Airlines, KLM etc.

I found myself getting stuck in the middle of family politics whenever I went to India. I preferred staying with my in-laws rather than my own family. This has caused all sorts of problems. Give me a week in Dublin any time.

They must be daft

Advantages: On average a very good company.
Disadvantages: BA are known for playing dirty tricks.

British Airways has always been a solid, reliable and trustworthy company when it has come to providing my family with flights and holidays. If you had asked me a few months ago whether I would write a review on Ciao which questioned their sanity and took them to task on their scroogey compensation policies I would have scoffed at the idea. Never the less, here I am with a tale of woe. The holiday was for my mother and my father and it was going ...
...Vancouver to the hotel because British Airways were not going to send anyone out to meet them. Fair enough, I suppose. However, BA had provided explicit details of how to get to the hotel from the airport and so everything should be fine. The flight itself was just right and the BA staff friendly and efficient. The problems started when they touched down in Canada. The car rental place, the one that BA had arranged for them so that a car would ...

British Airways City Break to Monaco

Advantages: includes travel, transfers and hotel at a discount and accomsi
Disadvantages: None

An analysis of the city break brochures put the BA in the middle pricewise, but they did offer flights via Nice at a convenient time departing in the early morning and returning in the afternoon. Departure was on time as was the return but flight times overran slightly. Helicopter links to and from Monaco were included and were the ideal way to travel in style. A minibus completed the journey (note; this needs to be booked for the return trip or ...

britsh airways

Advantages: comfortable
Disadvantages: lost property

Usually i would congratulate or applaud brithsh airways on their service but my last experience i dont think so. Fair enough there are always delays but they really took their time this time, i was not too upset only when my luggage was missing when i got to my destination thats when i became really upset. I did get it retrived 3 days later but i was very disappoited. The thing which i did like about the service was that they gave a lot of very helpful ...

British Airways-Belfast-LA-Brisbane-NYC-Belfast

Advantages: Good customer service, good price
Disadvantages: Product didn't live up to the name

...Belfast-London-Los Angeles-Brisbane-New York-London-Belfast through the British Airways travel shop. The price was good considering the trip. The lady who dealt with me was excellent-no request was too much trouble. Being very tall i had asked about thepossibility of extra leg room and she duly put in a request. She explained and arranged everything and i have to say that part of it went smoothly. My only downside was the legs of that flight that ...

Cheap flight but can you last the night?

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Not much leg room

Brittish airways may be very popular but if you think they are good you may be considered strange. The last brittish airways flight i went on was a business flight. Belive me this flight was rubbish. For first you would expect to get more than a pack of peanuts and a little hamster size of coke. Don't go anywhere with brittish airways bussiness class. their are a lack of leg room which i found annoying because it felt as if my legs were being choked ...
...are also a problem with leg room on most planes and this can cause a blood clot which can kill you. Brittish airways can cost alsorts, so i would suggest to you to look somewhere else for a flight because the brittish airways are if you don't mind me saying a bunch of theives just ready to pounce on their next victim. I don't mind because you might have diffrent views. But this is my view and it's what i think. Oh yeah the toilets are really bad, ...

Royal......I think not!!

Advantages: Central, Decent Breakfast, Handy for Heathrow Express
Disadvantages: No Customer Service, No bar/tea making, Shabby rooms

We stayed here with friends who were on their first proper visit to London. They had been down for our Civil Partnership earlier in the year (See my other reviews) We booked flights and accomodation through British Airways Holidays. As such we expected a certain standard, even though it was only rated 2 star. The hotel is centrally situated on Craven Road, just 3 minute walk from Paddington Rail Station. This station is also the terminus for the Heathrow Express which was handy for us. The hotel looks very grandiose form outside. A few steps takes you inside to the reception area. The staff on reception appeared un-interetsed. They didn't make conversation, this may be because they didn't have good english. On the British Airways Holiday website they advise there is a bar. This was never open! Our rooms were on the 5th ...

Review of Royal Eagle Hotel, London

Kenya once in a lifetime

Advantages: Stunning scenery, amazing wildlife, holiday of a lifetime
Disadvantages: cold mornings and evenings, very early mornings, unsafe food and water

My family and I travelled to Kenya for a 10 day safari with British Airways Holidays. I honestly can't praise the experience enough, and if you can raise the cash it is a definite holiday to remember. The highlight of our trip was a the Masai Mara national park. We rose early every morning (you are must likely to see animals at dusk and sunrise)and set out in our safari van. Our guide was friendly, cheerful and extremely informative. He knew where to go to find the best wildlife and also knew how close we could get - one time he had to make a quick get-a-way from a herd of angry male elephant. It is so crucial that you feel 100% secure when you are out there, so a personal guide is a must. Take your camera, video camera or even tape recorder to secure that the stunning scenery, wildlife and sounds are captured indelibly. Another tip is ...

Independent travel to Florida

Advantages: Saves you a fortune, no resort Rep pestering you
Disadvantages: No Resort Rep to look after you

So having been with British Airways Holidays, Virgin Holidays and Jet life I wondered just how much I could save by doing it myself on the Internet....I mean booking a 14 night holiday in Florida with car hire flying from Manchester or Leeds/Bradford here in the UK ... I decided on dates of travel first although fairly flexable I thought October would be a good place to start, Schools are back and no public holidays so less crownds and queuing in Florida !! I looked at the the Hotel where we normally stay in Florida the Quality Inn International but their rates although good I thought could be bettered, so I checked out several others but came accross the Rodeway International Hotel ( we have stayed here before with Jet Life and BA ) they hade an Internet rate and an over 50 rate ( just being over 50 I looked at this)...I loved ...
