BMI (British Midland) is becoming a growing Airline, they have many sites now that are always popping up around the country. They are also getting new flight paths all the time. (Which helps the customer and keeps them happy) BMI have flights that go to Washington and Boston but only from Heathrow or Manchester. They mostly fly domestic flights around the UK and around Europe. Which is how I came to use BMI.
Booking
I bought my ticket online which was completly fantastic. I put in the details of when, where and destination. The site came up with a whole page of different timings and prices which would suit me. Brillent!! All I had to do was tick a box flight out and tick a box return flight. With the timings I wanted to fly. It then calculated the total amount including Airport tax and VAT. I paid by cardit card and the site is completly confidental. You recieve an E-mail 2 minutes later, saying the whole transaction is completed and they give you a page you can print out with all your flight details on it. Including the nearest hotels and prices, car hires and airport car parking facilites. Overall booking took me a mere ten minutes, with no hassel. I recommend booking flights on line, you get what you want easy and simple.
The Flight
Over the years I have had some scary flights and has never been a keen flyier. So as you can imagine flying on my own terrified me completely. Especially at 6 months pregnant to my first child. I was flying to Hanover in Germany to visit an old friend (May 04) I got dropped off at Heathrow Airport and got a bit confussed at the checking in points (2 flights booking at one check point) but the Air stewardess was very friendly and could see I was lost and helped me. As the airline could see I was quite heavily preganant they helped me on the plane and catered for me all the way. So my flight was quite ok - NO delays!!! My flight back was what has changed my opinion, on airlines. I was shocked to be whisked off my feet by so many people and in such a friendly manner. My bags were taken off me and i was placed on the plane first. The air crew fussed over me the whole 2 hours back from Germany. Feeding me and checking i was ok every ten minutes. It was most probably due to the fact I was preganant but neither the less, it was very nice to be well looked after. The air crew were very friendly and there was no sign of a fake smile in sight. The seating I found quite Comfortable and plenty of leg room, as i am 5"9. (Ive sat in worse conditions and for longer flights.) At the other end they took my bags and walked out with me to the arrivals. Which i felt they didnt have to do.
Catering
I am also a very fussy eater, most of the time I dislike plane food. With BMI you get a choice in sandwiches, and a drink. All included in you ticket. If you look at the price of your ticket, again value for money. (If your lucky cookies too)So my review of BMI is very good and I totally recommend them. In my case they were

Good Variety with on-board catering
Comfortable seating and good leg room
Cons:As BMI is a domestic charter flight company, they only fly within the UK and Some parts of Europe. The company is growing though. So if you want fly from Scotland to Heathrow these are your people. If you want to fly to New Zealand then sadly they are not. As I had such a good time with BMI I cant think of any other cons.
Future
Would I fly with BMI again ??? Yes I would. Since that flight I have no fears on flying. Looking forward to travelling again in the near future. I am possibly going to Ireland at Xmas. BMI will be my first choice.

Advantages: bmi Workers are polite. That's the only positive thing I can say about bmi. Disadvantages: The disadvantages are stated in the title and thoroughly explained in the review body.
