When i went to write about British Midland I went to the budget airline section expecting to see it there as the prices are almost as good as easyJet, Go and Buzz. I went to Brussels from Heathrow with them for about £60 inc tax in February and the service was far greater than I expected. Unlike other budget airlines you receive a meal onboard, the planes have a lot of space and you are not crammed to the seat infront and there are plenty of helpful friendly staff. They fly from London Heathrow which in my opinion is easier to get to than Stansted, London Luton etc which Go and easyJet fly from and it has a large selection of domestic and European destinations. I would definitely choose to fly with them again if it was a choice of them or other budget, or more expensive airlines. They have got the right balance of service and price. I do appreciate the real budget airlines though for their even lower prices and i know it could be argued that the extra price on British Midland was paying for the food, its just a part of me still likes the tradition of receiving those foil meals.
