Advantages: Compact city with good shopping centre.Much less commercial than Prague,it has fewer cultural or historical sights of interest.Several hotels situated on Lake Brno offer good value for money and are only a short train journey into the city centre. Disadvantages: Some distance from other Czech tourist areas.Brno doesnt have the cultural attraction of Prague.

Brno lake is a short distance from the city centre and is linked by suburban trainline. The lakeside has several restaurants and bars, mini-golf boat-trips.
Brno centre is mainly ... ...in the city.
As Brno is very much less commercialised than Prague eating out is very much cheaper.Brno has a good range of eating places.
We ate most nights at Brno Lake on a balcony overlooking the lake.
Woth a visit to experience an ordinary as opposed to tourist, focused czech city.

Spent the weekend in Brno, the 2nd largest city in the CzechRepublic. Much nearer to Vienna than Prgaue.....
A IS FOR ARCHITECTURE
Lots of Brno is comprised of some magnificent ancient buildings and sculptures. As with many European cities, the amount of work that must have gone into making it how it is is amazing.
B IS FOR BRÜNN
This is the German name for the city, and vital if you are travelling from a German speaking city. Although you can get away with saying „Bratislava“ and not „Presburg“, when I asked for a ticket to Brno, I almost ended up with one to Prague thanks to the incompetent staff at Wien Mitte station. Just remember, ask for Brünn and you have a 95% higher chance of ending up in the right place.
C IS FOR CASTLE
Spilberk Castle is just left of the station and a bit ...
Advantages: Clean, top location for shopping, reasonably priced Disadvantages: a pain to get to on a saturday afternoon, thin walls

All these places chosen for their museums, architecture, and many art galleries on offer. Lumped inbetween Cardiff and Amsterdam was a one night extravaganza in Manchester, not my choice of destination and obviously for legal reasons and for fear of breaking the unwritten Omerta of "what happens on the stag stays on the stag, I cannot divulge any possible events on the stag, but having sought written permission from the groom-to-be and the best man I am able to share with you a review of the hotel I stayed in?.. The Premier Inn Trafford Centre ...
Advantages: value for money, easy to get by in prague ,good for sightseeing Disadvantages: pickpockets in underground stations, some taxi drivers will overprice you
I've been to a few places in czechrepublic namely prague, pardubice, Hradec kralove, Brno, Olomouc. Prague is like almost all major cities in europe with a blend of people of different religion and culture.
Transport system is excellent surprisingly ive never encountered any delays within the country itself except during this one winter where they didnt expect the snow so early. All flights were cancelled and delays on train lines.
I found prague airport quite intriguing.ive never been to a duty free section in a country where there are no electronic shops!!
If you are into drinkin beer then this is definetly the place to be!!Dont forget to have a shot of the famous absinthe!!
Nightlife is quitevarried. Its useful to have a chat with people who have been there before. Radnost is decent for hip hop and RNB music, Duplex is quite ...
