The building has looked the same since 1772 but has been there since 1575 and fits in perfectly with the village.
In my opinion the hotel is not really made for ... ...for children to do. There's a park and an ice cream stand, which is about the extent of the things for kids to do around here, however it's a perfect place for tourists and adults love it.
When you get to the hotel you're greeted by the receptionist and helped to your room. In the evening you go down to the restaurant for a candle lit dinner, made for you by our brilliant chefs.
I've worked at the hotel for three years nearly and I can say It's a really good hotel.

The building has looked the same since 1772 but has been there since 1575 and fits in perfectly with the village.
In my opinion the hotel is not really made for kids as the village in itself doesn't have anything fun for children to do. There's a park and an ice cream stand, which is about the extent of the things for kids to do around here, however it's a perfect place for tourists and adults love it.

The cosy lounge, has a gorgeous roaring fire which you can sit by and have your drink.
The Jockey Club bar is decorated with pictures and racing memorabilia.
If you want Room Service in the morning, look in the 'Welcome Folder' and call down to reception. There's a whole range of food and drinks including coffee and croissants, fruits etc, which is taken up to you in the morning.
In the day you can go visit the village. There are all sorts of shops from antiques to sweets to books etc. The shops I would recommend are all on the high street, there's 'Small Talk' which is a lovely small café which sells cakes and drinks etc, also you're got 'Cotswold Trading' which is my relatives favourite shop when they come down, it sells all sorts of things from candles to perfumes to joke things, 'Whatever The Weather' is a new shop, which sells candles shaped into all different sizes and shapes, and they also sell paintings and stuff. If you're in need of Christmas stuff, there's actually a Christmas shop, it's a bit more out of the way, but just ask anyone and they'll guide you to it.
The rooms in the hotel are also lovely, there's 19 rooms all together not 20 like it says above as room 7 & 8 were merged into one to make my favourite room. Room 7 has got a gorgeous view of the courtyard, with the fish pond and beautiful flowers. The room in itself is lovely, the main room has two chairs and a plasma flat screen. In the room you have biscuits, tea, coffee, sugar all provided for you. To the left you've got the bathroom, which has a bath and a shower and to your right you have a separate compartment which holds the comfy king size bed with its own personal plasma TV on the wall. I love this room because I saw it being made and I saw what it looked like before, the fact that it's such a big open room is also lovely as well.
My next favourite room is 20, it's on the ground floor and is a lot like room 7, the only problem I have with this room is that it doesn't have an open feel like room 7 and it doesn't have as good of a view, however it does have more of a private feel to it. The living room is separate from the bedroom and they both have separate plasma screens. The living room has a very comfy couch and the bedroom has a king size bed like room seven.
Room 21 is also a lovely room, it's not as new as the other two but it has a four poster bed which looks over the beautiful garden. This room is probably one of the biggest, so you have a lot of room for your luggage and if you have children this room or number 5 would probably be best for it.
The rooms are individually furnished, and each of the nineteen rooms are none smoking so you have a nice smell throughout the hotel. In the room you have a an en-suite bathroom equipped with Molten Brown toiletries, a telephone, beverage tray and a hairdryer.
Single, double or twin beds are provided all throughout the hotel, which are equipped for everyone's needs, if you have a baby the hotel, will provide a cot.
The hotel is lovely; the bar is nice and quiet. There's a lovely garden at the back where you can sit or you can sit in the front and watch the village.
I'm not an expert on the money side of things so don't hold me to it. Most days we're full, so it is quite hard to book a room sometimes just by asking what you want. You can be specific by saying you want a double bed on the second floor etc, but you can't be garenteed that room.
The prices do vary, Room 7 & 20 will be more expensive that if you choose room 33 or 12 or something as they're both single bedrooms. I think the most you'll pay for a room is £200 for the night, if you're staying on a saturday and if your staying in the week the most will probably be around £180, that will probably be the price for those rooms, but like I said I'm only part-time and I don't work with booking etc, so I can't be sure. Check out their website for more definte information. I recommend this place to everyone.
Advantages: Location Disadvantages: Not for the faint hearted, needs a good clean
I visited the BroadwayHotel in October 2007, and was very disappointed with the standards of accomidation in which the BroadwayHotel had to offer. I have never stayed in such a dirty and poorly presented Hotel, in all the years in which I have visited Blackpool. The rooms were fair, but in 5 days of staying, the toilet was not cleaned, the bins were not emptied and at no time was the rooms or beds freshened. The owner had a dog which sat on all the furniture in the lounge, and obviously had fleas, and the management would eagerly accomidate elderly bus tours, before any other customers. They would not cater for children unless you specifically asked them, as a child menu was not offered, unless you specified it, as they felt it was acceptable to give an 18 month old baby a pork chop for dinner, bone included, and they seldom cleaned ...
Advantages: Amazing singing, well worth our money Disadvantages: Some weak acting and some bad accents
, find tickets for Mamma Mia, our second choice. The cheapest tickets were reasonably priced and we now knew that we were going to love the musical because we all loved the movie.
Getting There
On the first day we found the Winter Garden Theatre, purely by mistake, as I kept on getting us lost over and over again. The tickets hadn?t been booked by this time, so we assumed it was almost like karma that we would be going to this theatre.
Due to the fact that our hotel is about 10-15 minutes from the theatre, we got a taxi there and back; mainly due to the fact that our feet were killing and we couldn?t really be bothered walking back to our hotel at 11.30pm.
The theatre is located at 1634 Broadway between West 50th and West 51st street between Broadway and 7th Avenue. Here is a link so a map:
