Broadway University Motor Inn, Sydney

Advantages: Cheap but very cheerful
Disadvantages: rooms are quite small

...We have just come back from a trip to Sydney and stayed at the Unilodge. It is, to all intents and purposes, University halls of residence. That having been said, it is also a Best Western Hotel. Our room was small, but very comfortable and kame with a full-size fridge, microwave, kettle, sink and crockery. Tea and coffee making facilities were refreshed every day and the sheets were always very clean. The shower was excellent also. The hotel has an indoor pool and small gym in the basement and the reception staff were friendly. Don\'t go expecting that your bags will be carried to your room or you\'ll be disappointed. Location-wise the hotel is very well situated. A brisk 10-15 minute walk to Darling Harbour or a short bus/train ride to Circular Quay from Central station which is a 5 minute walk away. Advantages: offices situated everywhere

...I have just spent four years of my life at university trying to avoid getting a job, so when I finally graduated in June reality hit me that I would soon enter working life and fun and games would be over for me. Instead of accepting this inevitability I set about trying to delay it further. What better, I thought, then to book a trip to Australia and join the thousands of other British graduates out there having a good time. It also served the purpose of being able to attend a sporting event, the Ashes, which I had always dreamt of attending. I started phoning up travel agents and searching the web but the prices quoted all seemed far too steep as I was hoping to travel near Christmas. ...sydney is a great city it has wonderful sites n great shopping malls and markets the people are really friendly. the ways to get around sydney are v-good there are tour buses that take you all the way around sydney and when you want to stop of somewhere that u find intresting you can just hop of the bus and jump on another with the same ticket you used before. the shops are great in sydney there is a wide variety of shops and some are the same brands that we get out here + they are reasnably cheap aswell. i dont think you could go wrong in visiting sydney its a great place and i recomend it to people who enjoy the city beci xxx...
