Advantages: awesome and uniquely spectacular scenery Disadvantages: hot, hard walking on sand
...The seemingly never ending sand dunes of Sossusvlei are a truly remarkable sight. The dunes are shaped by the wind and are constantly shifting. They are reputed to be the highest in the world. The climb to the top of one of the dunes can be gruelling under the heat of the sun with the ever shifting sand under the feet but is worth it for the magnificent views. The dunes cover widely dispersed patches of land from the Orange River at the South African border all the way up the coast of Namibia and into Angola. They are broken intermittently by the few rivers that flow to the Atlantic Coast. The Namib Desert itself (of which the dunes are a part), measures over 2000km in length and is about 200km wide.
Despite the apparent hostility of the landscape, there is plenty of wildlife and even a number of larger mammals. The Oryx can survive...

Advantages: Ideal place to stay as it is near all park attractions. Disadvantages: None.
...the Orlando International Airport.
The restaurant and entertainment area of the hotel is themed to be the riverboat landing itself. In fact, when you check in to the hotel, you are made to feel like you are booking passage on a riverboat heading south down the mighty river. This is a very large resort, but since it's broken up into the two areas, it doesn't seem so overwhelming.
I would stay here again considering it's near all attractions. The huge pool was also fantastic for the kids. Located in the middle of the resort, the pool area themed as an old watering hold in the deep south was a fun place to swim, and it's convenient to the guests at the resort. There are several other pools scattered about too. Fishing, boating (on the Sassagoula River), an arcade, and other activities are available. Riverside also has it's general store...

...attraction. It is overlooking the Taf Estuary.
The castle was built in the early stages of the 12th Century. The castle was once apparently granted to Sir John Perrott, who is said to be the illegitimate son of Henry VIII.
King Henry II visited Laugharne in 1172 and a street was named in his honour.
In the Civil War, Laugharne was captured by Royalists, but soon the castle was partially destroyed and gradually fell into decay.
The remains are still standing today, which I still like to go and visit once in a while and it sure is proving to be a great tourist attraction.
Laugharne is near Pendine which has a vast stretch of sand where land speed records such as "Bluebird" has been broken (again another tourist attraction).
There is a river called the Corran River which runs through the town.
There is a Roman Fort and traces of Roman...

Advantages: none Disadvantages: See the review. Horrible.
...Very poorly managed tenement in a crack cocaine infested area. The only good thing is the view of the river, but the river contains high levels of E.coli bacteria, so look but don't touch.
Harrisburg has nothing to offer, but if you must go there avoid staying at the Korman Communities property. Staying there will only worsen your experience.
The elevator was broken, so we had to walk up and down 13 flights of stairs for 3 days. Management refused to offer any discounts for this inconvenience. The staff was very rude, and did not seem to understand that it was not right to have to climb all of those stairs and still have to pay full price. They also gave us a a improperly cleaned room. This place was so bad that we wound up checking out a week early and staying at a budget motel for the rest of our trip....

...off until comparatively recently. The grapes are typically Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. There have also been some award winning chardonnays in the region. While I happened to stumble on a good Oregonian wine, by accident at Corney and Barrow in Ayr, these wines are not typically found in UK supermarkets, but are worth a taste for sure.
Central Oregon is littered with volcanoes, including Mount Hood which I have already mentioned. You can also see Mount Jefferson, Three fingered Jack, Mount Washington, The Three Sisters and Broken Top. This area is known as the Cascades and contains seven national forests and seventeen designated wilderness areas. This area is popular, and there are plenty of trails, lakes, rivers and campgrounds. We took a real long drive through the region, and the scenery was spectacular as we rose ever higher...

This book was a really good read and i would recommend Phillip Pullman's books to anyone as i have read quite a few of them. 'The Broken Bridge' is a gripping, sad story of a 16 year old girl, Ginny, discovers that her father has a son which she didn't... more
I sat and read the entire 'series' in a weekend because I enjoyed these books so much.
The 3 books that center around Elena Micheals, the worlds only female werewolf (Bitten, Stolen and Broken) read like early Anita Blake novels (Laurell K Hamilton) but more
