Overall Brooklands Hotel is the best Hotel I have stayed in. We received a lovely warm friendly welcome, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, very clean room with ample space. Ample car parking space, we had a TV/DVD combi in our room which was lovely, and was also offered DVD's to watch. Overall we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. We will 100% stay at Brooklands Hotel again, and will recommend this Hotel to everyone. more

BROOKLANDS HOTEL
Are you ready for a tour?
Turning into Kerley road, you notice the size of the car park, I think there are 21 car parking spaces and with 21 rooms that’s ample parking. The outside is well maintained with flowers, hanging baskets, looks homely. Getting out the car, you walk up maybe 5 steps to the front door, taking you in to the reception area.
First we check in, pay any money out standing or to pay your bill in full. You are asked to fill out Guest Registrations forms, for fire safety reasons as all details are held on the computer based system. You are given your keys and shown to your room, on the way you are shown the guest lounge opposite the reception deck.
Guest lounge has a big wide screen television which has Sky access mainly used for showing the football. Has a stereo where you can listen to the radio. With a wide selection of books, magazines and leaflets for attractions.
To the right you have the bar which you walk up maybe 5 steps. It’s a good size bar with tables and chairs. They have a television and a karaoke machine, with a wide selection of music playing, comfortable and friendly.
To the left you have some rooms, also a set of stairs which leads you to the 1st floor and 2nd floor. Further down the corridor you have the dinning room.
The dinning room is comfortable with tables of two, four and six. You can sit anywhere you wish unlike some which have room numbers allocated to tables. You get a wide choice of cereal and fruit along with the breakfast menu. You have a choice of having dinner which is all home cooked by their chef.
The room I stayed in was room 29: The room is a perfect size, plenty of room either side of the bed. We had a dressing table, with mirror, tea and coffee making facilities, wardrobe, Draw unit plus a bed side unit a combined TV/DVD player. En suite shower and toilet. You get provided with towels too.
The Hotel is very clean and tidy with friendly helpful staff. They have various rooms including Double’s, Twin’s, Triple and Family rooms all with en-suite facilities.
The Tariff depends on the time of year you are staying; it can be as little as £25.00 per person per night for bed & breakfast.
Breakfast is served between 8am and 9am Check in time is from 2pm Check out time is 10am
All in all, we had a wonderful stay I would go their again and again. The Hotel is a two minute walk to the beach with no roads to cross; and only a five minute walk to the town centre which has plenty of shops and lovely gardens.
Is it suitable for Disabled, at present there is about 5 steps to the front door, but they are working on this and do have room for disabled persons. The Hotel is also situated on a hill, maybe difficult for wheel chair users getting back up the hill. But you can go behind the hotel which will lead you to the cliff top where you can get in cliff lift which is free for disabled and one carer. It is the long way round but there are no hills to come up or go down.

I found the Hotel via the internet and booked our stay on line. It is cheaper to book direct with Brooklands Hotel, than it is to book on line. As many on-line companies do charge the Hotel’s from 10-15% commission ‘finders fee’.
Brooklands Hotel offers a laundry service, fax service and also internet access.
Only one person has noticed that I stayed in room 29 but they only have 21 rooms. Their room numbers start from No7 upto No29 but they don't have a No10 or No13.

Quick review of Brooklands Hotel, Bournemouth
I have stayed in The Brooklands on 3 occasions now, whilst attending conferences at the BIC. Its really nice to return to a hotel after a two-year gap to discover the staff remember you (and they do !); and I'm not exactly noisy or gregarious). I have just been invited for another union conference this coming June (2008) and will have no hesitation in booking the same hotel again. Very friendly staff; lovely comfortable and clean rooms; excellent breakfast; and really handy for everything whilst still being in a quiet location (no trouble sleeping - beds are really comfy too !). ...
