Brooklyn Bridge, New York

Before I went to New York, a visit to the famous Brooklyn Bridge was already planned in my itinerary. Completed in 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge connects Brooklyn to Manhattan and is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Well, this is my Brooklyn Bridge! As I've been paying taxes here in this city forever and paying state and federal taxes, I'm sure that I own a great large part of the bridge but I'm willing to share it with everyone who dares cross it on good or bad days. ***************** The Brooklyn Bridge could be an "all-day' trip for tourists who want to savor most parts of the city ---from afar. Having watched the movie "Godzilla" is a pretty good reason to want to see the Brooklyn Bridge. The bridge is somewhat of a star. It appears rather belatedly, but is a star nonetheless...it's all that stands between the island of Manhattan where the beast has been rampaging and the mainland of the united States of America, God bless her!
