Brasserie Black Door - worth the wait?

Advantages: Some good food
Disadvantages: Quailty inconsistent, poor presentation, poor service

the menu until the drinks arrived and when we did, we found we had been given the standard menu so we told the staff member that we had booked for the promotional menu. He told us we had come to the wrong restaurant. He said we should be at the sister restaurant, the Brasserie, and that the company had informed the Times that they should change the information in the newspaper but they hadn't. When we pointed out that we had spoken directly to the restaurant when we made our reservation and that we had not, during the course of two telephone calls with staff, been advised that we should go to the Brasserie, he simply shrugged and offered to arrange a taxi to the Brasserie at the restaurants expense. Michael Caine Is Harry Brown

Advantages: Gritty British thriller
Disadvantages: A bit full on at the end

For Caine however age made him turn a corner, and as the star tentatively spoke about a cameo in popular soap Eastenders, his movie career took of in ways he possibly never realised. With two Batman movies, Children Of Men, and the highly acclaimed Is Anybody There? Behind him Caine now returns in his intriguing movie yet, Harry Brown. Harry Brown follows a history of popular vigilante ...

Review of Harry Brown

Heart of Dublin

Advantages: welcoming, clean, central
Disadvantages: restaurant price

As mentioned in my last review, I was recently on a trip to Dublin. The main part of my holiday apart from experiencing the city is to me the accommodation. I have been to many hotels but not all I would return to although I have to say I cannot fault the Jury's Inn Parnell Street. A hotel is of course where I stay and want to be in a good location. I have heard of Jury's Inn's because I know where I live in Edinburgh they have them and I have heard positive things about them. Only going away for a short break I was looking for something quite cheap but not to the extent of hostel cheap. The rating for this hotel was 3 stars which is what I will always start at and no lower. The website was where I booked it and everything was easy to navigate. Going with friends I wanted a triple and it asks if you want three single beds or a double ...
