Atmosphere: Excellent! It is well lit and large, yet still manages to hold that personal dining experience away from the crowds. The cultery and furniture is quite modern with black wooden bare tables.
Drinks: The bar is excellent, with very knowledgeable staff. Many of the drinks are surprisingly well priced - Hendrick's gin is about £5 for a double, which is unheard of in many places who often charge double that. The wine list is good, with a great range of price and quality.
Food: The menu is extensive and almost too much so. However, how can you complain about this! The food is of an excellent standard with a few things that push away from the usual boring options. Starter to pudding is a great experience. There is a great prawn and avocado salad to start and a range of classic main courses like lamb shank, belly of pork and a good well £10 hamburger.
Service: The service is good, but at the weekends, the staff tend to get very pressured by a highly busy atmosphere - they are slightly overworked in my opinion. As a result, it is very much a delivery service, often without that personal touch.
Price: It is fairly priced I think. At about £35 per head for three course and wine.
An excellent destination for post work with friends, or as a romantic destination that requires a lively restaurant. Highly recommended!

Manufacturer's product description
Over the last three decades Browns has won a place in the hearts of the British public to become `an institution' on a par with the `Bodleian' in the words of the Good Food Guide. In 1973 when the very first Browns opened its doors, it did so with the simple belief that classic food, well delivered in a stylish environment would be a recipe for success - a belief that remains unchanged.
