Flanders fantasy
Advantages: Small intimate hotel, large room, robes and slippers, great breakfast. Disadvantages: Very small lounge area
The Hotel De Tuilerieen is very conveniently situated by the river and close to the main tourist areas of Bruge so you are able to walk to all the sites. We fell in love with this hotel-its quite small but our room was large with two double beds and traditional Belguim furniture. It overlooked the river and we could watch the boats going by from our windows. There was an air of faded grandeur which we found very romantic (although I think some rooms ... ...supply of toiletries. The hotel has a small indoor swimming pool and a jacuzzi. We used these facilities most days and always had them to ourselves. There was always a pile of clean towels and slippers available. The hotel only serves breakfast and breakfast was fantastic- everything you could imagine -cereal, fresh and stewed fruit, pancakes, meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, assorted breads , cakes and pastries with omelettes and eggs cooked to order ...

Ideally situated and comfortable
Advantages: Central location, clean and friendly staff Disadvantages: No tea/coffe making facilities in rooms
We stayed in the Novotel on a recent short break to Brugge. It is easy to find and ideally situated for exploring the city.
The hotel is in a square near to the Ibis Hotel on one of the main roads into the city. It is hidden from view to preserve the character of the area. There is a nearby underground car park with easy access to the hotel.
The hotel itself is fairly new. It is clean and well equipped. There are approximately 200 rooms on 4 floors. ... ...supply of toiletries provided. There is a mini bar, but unfortunately, no tea or coffe making facilities.
Facilities at the hotel include a Restaurant, Bar and outdoor heated Swimming pool. The only drawback is that the pool is closed between October and May.
Service at the hotel is friendly and all staff speak English. Thay are very helpfull and a credit to this hotel chain. The Breakfast was of excellent quality with a good choice of both Continental ...

Historic Hotel in Bruges
Advantages: Very Central, Attractive Listed Building, Good Facilities Disadvantages: Part of a Chain and Past its Prime...
...rather clumsy, official title, the Best Western Premier Hotel Navarra Brugge. It is a charming position for a hotel, just a brief stroll from Bruges' beautiful Market Square with its Belfry Tower, and perfectly situated for visitors wishing to explore the town's historic centre. The 'Navarra' is the most recent incarnation of a very old hotel, and one that draws, rather poignantly, from its very earliest origins. In 1600, the official residence of ... ...the Navarra, beyond the inevitable Best Western propaganda in the lobby, and the sleek fixtures of the hotel's modern rooms. This is in fact a reasonably good example of a period building with seamlessly integrated Twentieth Century comforts. *****
Having negotiated Brugge's confounding one-way system and getting ourselves lost amidst a bewildering jumble of narrow streets, we finally sighted the hotel. It was a bleak and frosty January evening, ...

A WOnderful stay at B&B Yasmine!
Advantages: warm, welcoming and inviting hostess; clean and well presented rooms Disadvantages: no full length mirror in our room
...surprise it was! Location: Yasmine B&B is in a great location as it's only a few minutes walk from great restaurants (although great restaurants are dotted all over Bruges) and even better only a couple of minutes from some good bars/pubs situated right on the canal. The B&B is about 25 minutes leisurely walk from the train station. The B&B: This is a small B&B come art Gallery. It hosts 6 bedrooms and the ground floor of the building displays artwork ... ...this B&B. I'm normally a hotel type of person and all the luxuries that go with staying in a hotel, but our stay in the B&B was perfect. I would love to go back to Bruges - it's a beautiful city - and would definitey stay at B&B Yasmine again! ...

Friendliest hotel in town
Advantages: Cheap, friendly staff, great food Disadvantages: No bathroom doors!
...is a great little European hotel - I would definitely recommend it for a city break in this wonderful city!
We recently stayed here for my first wedding anniversary. We booked through Last Minute.com and got a package including first class Eurostar, and three nights bed and breakfast here for £190 each which was great value. We did pay the extra £6 for a canal view room and as it is right on the canal this is well worth it!
The hotel is centrally ... ...the main square.
The hotel has been recently done up so is really smart - we had a lovely downstairs right on the canal (you had to shut your curtains or the boat tours could see in) - I checked when we did our boat tour!!!
The only problem with the room was that in true European style there is no bathroom door - only a screen. This was fine as we had a private shower and toilet and sink but it was a little bit embarrousing. I got food poisoning ...
