Now, you may be wondering why a person who stays in glasgow would need to require the use of a hotel in the Glasgow city centre, well i'll tell you. My girlfriend was stopping over for a long weekend and there wasn't any room in my house, so i had the task of booking a hotel that was not only cheap, but close to the city.

I called them up the same night and made reservations. The lady who took my call was very helpful and friendly. Since i didn't have a switch or credit card, i decided to pay up in advance by going over there the next morning.

It was tiny, really tiny. The front desk was right at the door which was convenient and to the right was a dining room which counteracts as a bar at night. I made the arrangements with the receptionist who was very helpful and cheery, guess it's her job to be, but it made me feel that i was going to have a nice stay. She explained where to go and what to see but being from around there, i didn't need to be told, but it's a great benefit for those who aren't.

Upon arrival, i checked in and had to fill in a form and i was on my way to my room. There's about 5 floors but there's an elevator if you don't want the stairs. As i made my way to the room, i felt a little uncomfortable with how the place had been decorated. Glasgow is becoming a modern city but who ever chose the colour scheme must have been on something. Red walls, dark red carpet and blue doors......not exactly all that stylish afterall. Only thing worth looking at is the modern art pictures that were created by the local talent.

The room we had was very comfortable. Cream coloured walls, blue carpet, huge comfy bed, tv on the wall and telephone. There's also a wardrobe to store clothes also. The bathroom was opposite the room entrance. It was small with room for the bath, washbasin and toilet. The room was decorated with royal blue tiles which looked really nice and cosy.
We were given a room that over look George Square so we had the cosy room and nice view.

This is the downside to it, there is hardly anything to do inside the hotel apart from watch tv in your room. The only good thing is the dining room/bar. The bar is a very popular spot for nightlife. Quite trendy, not really big but it's one of those places young people tend to go for a few drinks with the company of good music. The bar has alot of spirits from all over and some well known beers (Stella Artois, Budweiser, San Miguel, MGD).

The hotel is situated on Brunswick Street, hence the name. It's near George Square which is a popular tourist point, and right beside everything at your convenience, bars, restaurants etc so there's no worries in being stuck for things to do. The hotel itself is placed in a side street so it's quite hard to spot, but once you find it, it's real easy to find again and again.

The hotel doesn't go to extreme lengths to slap up food for during the day. At breakfast time, they would have a selection of cereals and oatmeals, fresh fruit, juices, teas and coffees.

Dinnertime would be the best. I had pasta, again, but i could've chosen mexican dishes, anything with chips and they had some chicken dishes too. So all in all the food was great.

This is a hotel that wouldn't be suitable for children. There aren't any faclilites for kids such as a play area or a pool so in my opinion, i'd say it's for people who are stopping over for a few days, anyone on business trips and perhaps students too.
