Disadvantages: Not in the city centre.

My partner and I booked this hotel through the Eurostar website and stayed from New Years Day for 3 nights. Once we arrived we realised that the price we'd paid was nothing compared to the quality of the hotel. Not only was the room actually an appartment but the balcony we had unexpectedly been given afforded the most fantastic view over the city and was of ample size to have put the dining table and chairs on had it not been the middle of winter. ...
...the gym/sauna facilties the standard of cleanliness, maintenance and service I saw elsewhere would lead me to believe that these were of a very high standard also. In terms of location whilst the hotel is outside the main centre of Brussels it is all of a 30 second walk from a Metro stop. The 72hr Brussels card is also a great investment. Location – Off the ring road along the top edge of the city centre. Most 4 and 5 * hotels seem to be located along this stretch - the Hilton, Sheraton and Plaza are all nearby. The Botanic Gardens are next to the hotel and offer the chance of a nice walk in the park. One of the main pedestrian shopping streets is opposite so the location is great if you’re there to shop. For the rest of the sights, the main square (Grand Place), is a 15-20 min walk ...
...The only downside to the location is there are no restaurants near the hotel (apart from the one at the hotel) so it’s a metro ride or a walk in the evening to your dinner. Rogier Metro station is across the road from the hotel so it’s very easy to get to the hotel. There are limited Metro stops in the centre but most sights weren’t too far away from one. Disadvantages: Brussels is a bit dull

We stayed in this hostel whilst in Beligum over the weekend. We booked a double private ensuite bathroom room for €90 from the Hostelworld.com website. The hostel was more then adequate. The room was a nice big room and the bathroom was also a reasonable size. The Beds were comfortable. The hostel is loctated within a five minute walk from the main metro line through the citry and is very easy to locate as it had a big sign ouside it. The hostel ...
...in the middle of it The hostel was very secure. Each person got a key card for thier visit and the key card only allowed access to certain parts of the building. Which gave you an extra feeling of been able to leave your stuff around without fear of it going missing. The room also offered 2 lockers, but sadly one in our room was broken. INTRODUCTION Brussels is a handy place to meet if you're in the South Netherlands and your girlfriend is in London. Thanks to Eurostar and Dutch rails, we can both make it there in a couple of hours. ...right place! THE LOCATION Hotel Eurostars Sablon is located opposite the Museum of Ancient and Modern Art in the city centre, 500 metres from the Royal Palace. This makes it a very handy location for the tourist areas. We found it a five minute walk to the Central train station, and a ten minute walk to the main tourist area of Grand Place. My partner and I stayed here for two nights from the 29th Feb, we stayed on a room only basis and didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the restaurant. The room was quite large and comfortable which also had ensuite facilities however some of the decor was starting to look a little shabby, we noticed a couple of cracked tiles in the ensuite and a fire exit sign hanging off in one of the corridor.
