Review of Hotel Bristol Stephanie, Ixelles by dee2206

Advantages: Walking distance to the fashionable shopping district of Avenue Louise.
Disadvantages: A long walk to the Grand Place where many eating places are based.

This impressive hotel located on the Avenue Louise was close to Brussels' most fashionable shopping district. The 5 star Hotel Bristol Stephanie is ideally situated for both business and leisure travellers. The hotel offers 142 spacious bedrooms (Classic and Executive), a restaurant « Le Chalet d'Odin », a bar « Stefany's », conference and banqueting rooms, a fitness centre and an underground parking. We booked this hotel through Expedia.com for ...

Review of Hotel Le Plaza, Brussels by MissJey

Advantages: Clean
Disadvantages: In the middle of sex shops and aopposite a seedy all night club

...for 3 nights at this hotel Thursday Friday and Saturday as a treat for my husbands Birthday, I phoned on the Monday before our travel, and asked if there was anything special that they could recommend to make our stay extra special as it was my husbands birthday, they suggested that I could have flowers, fruits, chocolates and champagne waiting in our room for our arrival, and all they needed in advance was an email stating our expected date and ...

A great base for exploring Brussels
Review of Jolly Hotel Du Grand Sablon, Brussels by dancingfishes

Advantages: Great location, comfortable rooms, excellent food
Disadvantages: Expensive if not arranged as part of a package

I recently spent a weekend at this hotel on a budget break I'd arranged through lastminute.com. I must say I was incredibly impressed by the standard of the hotel for something that I had paid so little for. The location is perfect. The hotel is situated on Place de Grande Sablon - home of the famous Sablon antique market at the weekends. The architecture of the surrounding area makes this an Art Nouveau lover's paradise. Bars and restaurants are ...
...galleries are less than a five minute walk away and the Grande Place is not much further. The marbled entrance lobby to the hotel is flanked by opulent antique shops that convey a sense of grandeur as you enter the building. Reception staff were very helpful. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the tv showed stations from all across Europe (including BBC1 and BBC2). I was very impressed with the spacious ... 5 star luxury for 3 star price
Review of Renaissance Brussels Hotel, Ixelles by nat23y

Advantages: luxurious, great value, top service,
Disadvantages: a little far out from the main square

Renaissance hotel Rue du Parnasse 19 Brussels, 1050 Belgium This 5 star Renaissance hotel was outstanding value for money! Location The renaissance hotel is located in the European quarter of the city. This is fairly quiet on weekends with the European parliament and surrounding offices being closed. Good if you want peace and quiet but definitely not in the heart of the action. It was about 200m away from Luxemborg Square which contains several ...
...8 Euros to the grand place). We stopped off here for a drink on one of the nights and there was little or no excitement so swiftly made our way to the lively Saint Gery (right near the Grand place where all the good bars and restaurants are) The Grand place which is the main Square of the city and close to many of the attractions, bars, restaurants and shopping is only about 20 minutes walk away (Girls beware: do not attempt to walk this in heels ... Hostel in Brussels
Review of Jacques Bre, Brussels by mtpatton

Advantages: Free internet, nice room, cheap
Disadvantages: Brussels is a bit dull

We stayed in this hostel whilst in Beligum over the weekend. We booked a double private ensuite bathroom room for €90 from the Hostelworld.com website. The hostel was more then adequate. The room was a nice big room and the bathroom was also a reasonable size. The Beds were comfortable. The hostel is loctated within a five minute walk from the main metro line through the citry and is very easy to locate as it had a big sign ouside it. The hostel ...
...in the middle of it The hostel was very secure. Each person got a key card for thier visit and the key card only allowed access to certain parts of the building. Which gave you an extra feeling of been able to leave your stuff around without fear of it going missing. The room also offered 2 lockers, but sadly one i
