Five Star Luxury Hotel
Review of Hotel Bristol Stephanie, Ixelles by
dee2206
Advantages: Walking distance to the fashionable shopping district of Avenue Louise.
Disadvantages: A long walk to the Grand Place where many eating places are based.
This impressive hotel located on the Avenue Louise was close to Brussels' most fashionable shopping district. The 5 star Hotel Bristol Stephanie is ideally situated for both business and leisure travellers. The hotel offers 142 spacious bedrooms (Classic and Executive), a restaurant « Le Chalet d'Odin », a bar « Stefany's », conference and banqueting rooms,
a fitness centre and an underground parking.
We booked this hotel through Expedia.com for ... ...and paid only £100.00 for two people in a standard room. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, tea & coffee making facilities, trouser-press, iron & ironing board, cable & satellite TV with an interactive system (Internet Acces and in-house video),
minibar & telephones (with modem, voice-mail, fax plugs).
The spacious bathrooms (separate toilet) are equipped with a hair-dryer and a telephone. There are other rooms, such as, executive rooms ...

Five star luxury in the hear of Brussels
Review of Le Meridien Brussels, Brussels by
andrewfleminguk
Advantages: Location, size, quality service and comfort
Disadvantages: Some will not like the limited facilities
...fortunate enough to stay at Le Meridien, in Brussels a few weeks back after winning a competition. It was a novel situation all round as I would not normally be able to afford to stay at this quite exclusive establishment on my travel and subsistence budget and, even if I were I would be too busy to appreciate my surroundings. I do visit Brussels a lot for work and have stayed in many hotels (I reviewed the Welcome Hotel a while back and this remains ... ...while.
Ownership
The Le Meridien chain is managed by the US based Starwood Group. This also includes the Sheraton, Westin and St Regis chains amongst others. They operate 888 hotels worldwide, 499 are managed and the balance are franchised. The link to the Le Meridien, in Brussels is through the Starwood web site. This is the best link for a full list of all the services available and I am not duplicating such lists in my reviews as this is not ...

Brussels sweatbox
Review of Hotel Vendome, Brussels by
ttspud
Advantages: Close to city centre, train
Disadvantages: Seedy part of town, dirty, unfriendly
...wife and I headed to Hotel Vendome for what appeared on Expedia as a well kept and reasonable hotel. It took us about 8 minutes walk from the main train station to get to Vendome, and we were greeted by two abrupt and unfriendly staff at the counter. They had to check three times only to realise we had a reservation, then gave us our keys. We asked for a map of the surrounding area and got one as small as a tubemap which did not help us whatsoever. ... ...On a brighter note, the hotel did provide a decent breakfast of bacon, eggs, bread, cheese, jams, bagels and an assortment of teas, coffees and juices which was included in the cost. This however could not make up for the night at the sweatbox, so we gathered our belongings and made our way to a nearby hotel... WITH A/C! ...

A really Good Hotel for a Really GOod Price
Review of Best Western Premier Carrefour De L'Europe, Brussels by
sjmitch
Advantages: Excellent location, remarkable value for money
Disadvantages: May have to book in advance to get a good deal
...one night at the Best Western Premier Carrefour De L'Europe in October 2005. I got a really good price of 80 euros a room for 2 people including breakfast - particularly cheap when you consider it is Brussels.
The hotel is ideally situated on the Grand Place - my room overlooked this - which is the main square in Brussels. It is also just around the corner from Central Station which has frequent links to the airport.
The room was huge - a large ...
