Buckatree Hall Hotel - Telford Shropshire

The hotel stated above is part of the Swallow Hotels chain, not like your average chain hotel this one is stunning my other half and I stayed there a couple of times going back after the first visit as we enjoyed it so much.

It is a 2 star hotel but I believe it is well worth of more, it has 62 rooms catering for all needs and being very family friendly, they have single rooms, double rooms and family rooms and where possible will arrange and room to suit your individual needs.

Buckatree Hall Hotel is situated just off the M54 in a remote location down a few back roads, it has a peaceful quiet surrounding area which puts you in the mood for your relaxing break away. There are several tourist attractions not far via car journey such as, Telford Shopping Centre, Park, Bowling Ally, Ice-Skating rink and much more. The Wrekin which is a beautiful area of natural land in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. It was a former hunting lodge which is why it is situated in the middle of the countryside.

Many of their bedrooms are over looking beautiful lakes and the hotels scenic gardens making it the perfect relaxing view from your room.

The hotel has a very large parking area where you can safely leave your car, they also cater for coach parking, the hotel reception is not very far away from the parking area so it is not a long walk from your car, making carrying bags to and from the car easy, all though the very helpful, polite staff as if you want any help with your luggage.
There are non-smoking rooms available for those who do not spoke and dis-like the smell of a room that has been smoking, so non smokers can have fresh rooms that have never been smoked in.
They also offer conference facilities which the hotel is know for hosting successfully.
Buckatree Hall Hotel is also a wedding venue which they have many years experience of hosting, they also have had a wedding licence since January 2006. They have several wedding packages designed to suit the couples personal choice and preference.

They also allow pets so your loved pet can share your holiday with you, I'm not sure if there is an added charge for this though but it's rare these days to find pet friendly hotels especially ones of this quality.

Disables access is also available and a guest lift service to help those who find it hard getting into the building and going up and down stairs making it the perfect get away choice for anyone.

The rooms themselves are clean, tidy and well presented, most of them having balconies looking on the hotels exceptional views. Their rooms are en suite, with the bathroom area being pristine clean and having various toiletries available such as quality soaps, shampoos, body lotion and others.
There are tea and coffee making facilities including hot chocolates and biscuits.
Each room has a television with the option of paying for extra channels. There is also a hairdryer and trouser press available in each room. Clean, soft towels are also provided. The bed was comfy with clean well presented bedding, the room was up to date in decoration having carpet and wall paper that looked almost new.
There is a phone also in each room and room service is available.

They have both a restaurant and a bar, in their Terrace restaurant there are many foods available for all meals, including breakfast which came included in our stay. Which was served quickly and was the right temperature when we received it, the staff were most helpful and the atmosphere in the restaurant was brilliant making breakfast a relaxing enjoyable experience. Their Brahms Bar had lots of selections of drinks once again with polite staff, which you could easily spend the evening in socialising while feeling comfortable in the surrounding environment. Both the bar and the restaurant were tidy, clean and well presented, everything you want was available to hand. Prices were a little bit expensive in both the bar and the restaurant but usually places like this are and the food was of very good quality so was not disappointed or made to feel that our money was wasted.

We booked our stay through an internet site called late rooms which is well worth it if they have the nights available that you want as we paid for a double room only £50 a night when the standard room price was £105 which is quite a lot of savings. The hotel also takes online bookings making it convenient and easy to book your stay away.

We both much enjoyed our stay at Buckatree Hall Hotel and will definitely be returning in the future.

Here is a quick summary of the hotel.

The staff are friendly, they have lots of services available, and it's clean and tidy with large spacious rooms kept in the best conditions possible.
They provide room service and have a bar and restaurant both with amazing atmosphere that are a pleasure to spend time in. They allow pets and have disabled facilities. Parking is plentiful and the price is well worth it for an enjoyable relaxing break away weather it be for business or leisure.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to other people if they are interested in staying in the area.

Don't think it's the kind of place I'd go for a holiday, but might use it if I needed to visit, great review

I actually live in Telford but have never been here, my mom's been a few times for meals from work and has always enjoyed it. Great review x

Great review. Sounds a great place especially as they take pets. I go up that way sometimes, so it is one to bear in mind. Larry
