Buda and Pest those beautiful twins of the east separated by a Danube that is less then blue as it circles and eddies in between them, criss crossed by bridges; Budapest rocks, it really does, it has great hotels and restaruants, all sorts of little side stgreets, tourist buses and people who stand around in yellow t-shirts waitng for you to ask them a question.
You can go by boat or bus and tram, but it is best to walk around and get thouroughly lost, find the small jazz clubs and music bars. Walk across the Chain Brifge on a saturday evening and breathe in the smell of the cooking, listen to rock music at one end, claissical music in the middle and jazz as you get to Buda and look up at the old town. You can walk through a park that lies below the castle on a steep hill or take funicular railway to the top then look down over the whole of Pest..
There are tourist attractions by the million, shopping at the West End (by the station), Margaret Island, you name it.
Budapest rocks. forget Paris if there was ever a city for roamnce this is it.

Advantages: Beatiful sights, lots to see Disadvantages: Some of the shops were quite expensive, many of the shops were high street stores like what we have in the UK
