Buddy lodge being the first stop on our travels certainly lived up to it's reputation. Having being advised to stay there by friends Buddy lodge was a pleasant surprise. The location is without a doubt it's strongest merit, located at the bottom end of Koh San Road everything is on your doorstep. The overall standard of service was good, the staff were very pleasant and helpful and our rooms were regularly cleaned. The only problem we did encounter was on the last day the receptionist had broken English so struggled to understand us. The rooms although rather basic (as you would expect for the amount paid) had everything you'd need, were very clean and looked very comfy. The hotel itself had a great range of facilities including restaurants, bars, a hairdressers, a coffee shop, internet cafes etc. The hotel also had a rooftop swimming pool which although was very nice it was incredibly difficult to find a sunbed.
Overall Buddy Lodge proved to be a pleasant stay. There was always something happening and never a dull moment. I would certainly recommend it to anyone traveling to Bangkok.
