...the excess with Avis or Budget is £500 if you damage the vehicle whom ever is to blame or if the car is stolen.However with budget I find the excess if only £150.So always read the small print. One thing I will warn people to do when hire a car FROM WHATEVER COMPANY is to check the following. I got the impression that he thought the process unnecessary and did not seem surprised when I described the rude member of staff at the reception desk.
