Hotel Samakov Borovets Bulgaria - Brilliant! Advantages: Everything you could ask for in a ski resort hotel in Eastern Europe Disadvantages: None We stayed in this hotel which came highly recommended from our travel agent. Having not been to Bulgaria before we weren't sure what to expect. Due to a flight delay we arrived at the hotel at 1am. A porter was there to take our bags from the coach and patiently waited while we checked in and rented a safety deposit box (can't remember the exact amount but was minimal) This didn;t take long and as soon as we had our room key the porter showed us ... ...in the many restaurants/bars. The hotel had a nightclub, bowling alley (at an additional charge - nominal), shop (English newspapers available with a 2-3 day delay), sauna/massage facilities (extra charge) competitive bureau de change, hairdresser, a games room and a top floor restaurant which shows stunning views for miles! The rooms were cleaned everyday, hallways and communal areas spotless. Lux and relax Advantages: luxury hotel, good service, swiming pool Disadvantages: the hotel is far from the slopes and the rest of the resort Hotel Belmont is in Pamporovo ski resort, Bulgaria. Pamporovo is a ski resort in the heart of the Rhodopi Mountain, 260 km from the capital Sofia, 85 km south of Plovdiv and 15 km from Smolyan. The resort altitude is 1 650 m, with its highest peak being Snezhanka – 1 926 m. I was in Hotel Belmont in the winter of 2008. The Christmas event for our company took place there and that was my chance to see the Hotel. Hotel Belmont is really very luxury.... ... ...for beginners and medium skiers. There are a lot of slopes with modern gondolas. The nature is magnificent. You may drink a cup of tea or hot wine in the restaurants. Magnificent place Advantages: healthy air, beautiful nature and unique historical place Disadvantages: there are no disco or attractions for teenagers I want to present you one very, very beautiful place. It is in Bulgaria in Sandanski city. This complex was build for our premier during the communism Todor Jivkov. It was visited by very important persons only and was closed for ordinary people. Now we have the chance the visit and to see it. We may see how the VIP persons spend their time. The complex is in the magnificent nature near the city of Sandanski. There is a big botanical garden with ... ...inscription so that you know what the name of the plant is. There is a small clean lake with ducks and a boat. Everything is so quiet that you have the feeling that this is the paradise. There is on roe. It leaved in the garden and I hope that it is still there. The complex itself has very, very beautiful rooms with a huge marble bathroom, a balcony with view to the lake. Good hotel for few days, swiming pool too small Advantages: clean, good service, good food Disadvantages: very small swiming pool, near the road ...- this is the place. Time Out Hotel is a small Hotel in Sandanski.I was there three days with friends. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The swiming pool is not big. I can't say that this is a swiming pool because it is too small. The Hotel is near the road which is not really good. There is a restaurant with good food and kind waiters. There are park places near the hotel. Princess Hotel, Sofia - good for business travels Advantages: swiming pool, massage Disadvantages: this is not one of the best parts of Sofia The Hotel is near the center and the guests may see the most interesting part of the city afoot. This is a big advantage because in Sofia there are problems with the parking place. The hotel is really near the Sofia railway station and near the main bus station. The breakfast is good but the choice of the food is not big enough. Some of our colleagues don't like the specific bulgarian food and breakfast and don't have any choice.
