Just got back from a two week holiday in gran canaria, and this hotel was more than a little dissapointing. The service in the bar was awful, you had to wait some times 15 mins while the barman wandered off to potter around else where or stood chatting to what i can only assume are residents in the hotel. the beer when you got it was good at least (being a mostly german resort i would expect no less though)and the food was passable. The pool is very ... ...Rooms were comfortable but the cleaning wasn’t up to scratch, a quick mop round but the bath and sink etc were not cleaned in the whole two weeks. The front gate closes early (at 11pm) so if you are out late (which is very easy to do!) you have to ring the bell to get in, which was answered every night by a horrid and grumpy security guard. The pool is very very quiet like the resort in general to be honest. Rooms were comfortable but the cleaning wasn’t up to scratch, a quick mop round but the bath and sink etc were not cleaned in the whole two weeks. The front gate closes early (at 11pm) so if you are out late (which is very easy to do!) you have to ring the bell to get in, which was answered every night by a horrid and grumpy security guard. Receptionists were ok, although not overly friendly, on enquiring where i could change travellers cheques i was abruptly met with the answer "not here" and no other informtion! i ended up using the internet to find out! All the pathways were cracked and broken with paving stones lifting up, which i gained more than a few stubbed toes from. To be honest we felt so uncomfortable there we went out every day to the beach and then every night into Playa del Ingles. although this place is cheap it offers no satisfaction. i just woudn’t bother with it.
