Well as much as I like Burger King food, I also know the secrets as I used to work for Burger King and theirs so much you really dont know unless you've worked their. dont get me wrong Burger King food is nice, but if you know how to determine if your food is fresh, or not then theirs no problem i'll eleabarate first on how the Burgers are prepared:
BURGERS:
So the average burger goes through the broiler/grill, of course their currentely going through aswell, and once cooked the burger and its bun are kept in a steamer, untill they are needed to be prepared, for selling like if the chute is out of a bacon double cheese, they'll make it up, but if everything is A ok they'll sit in this steamer for a holding time of ten minutes, by which time they SHOULD be thrown away.
THE CHUTE
The burgers in the Chute ok heres the deal next time you got to Burger King check ya wrapper round the burger, its got a little clock, well numbers that resemble a clock, now any prepared products such as Burgers chicken or whatever it is, will display these numbers, now any food within this chute can only be kept their for ten minutes, then it should be discarded as waste, I meanif that was a burger it could have been kept in the steamer for ten mins then prepared and put in the chute.
So how to tell if your being ripped off with un-fresh food, look at the wrapper and see what number the blackl ine goes through, if they've bothered to mark it which they should, so heres an example:-
If your watch reads 12:30pm then for a ten minute standby time your looking for the line to be crossed through either the number 7 or 8 and if you get one which is crossed through anything before or after the 6 or 8 thenits been their a while, so not to confuse you i'll brief it..
If the line is crossed through the 10 then that product should have been discarded 40 minutes before your arrival as its been in the chute since 11:40am, if its crossed though the 7 then its only been in the chute 5 minutes unless its been their from the previous hour, which we'd judge it wasnt, but you can tell if it has by the warmth.
So many back of house secrets, and so little time to tell, but id watch the food, as for chips its alot harder to tell with those, but keep an eye on those timings, cause ive caught Burger King out every time ive been thier, and im sure you can to, demand a fresh cooked product.
