The best hotel/attraction in Dubai

Advantages: Exclusive, brilliant, luxurious, great service
Disadvantages: very expensive

The Burj Al Arab also known as The Tower of Arabs is one of the major attractions in Dubai. It is located on a man-made island on the Persian Gulf. It was once the tallest building in the world used exclusively as a hotel. It is now the third tallest hotel due to two taller buildings being built, which are used exclusively as hotels just like the Burj Al Arab. The second tallest hotel is located in North Korea and the hotel leading the way is also ...
.../> The Burj Al Arab is a staggering 321 metres (1,053 ft) and is one of the reasons why Dubai at the present time is on of the most popular holiday destinations. The Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island, which is approximately 280 metres (919 ft) out from Jumeirah Beach. The island on which the Burj Al Arab is located is connected to the mainland via a private curving bridge. By private I mean that you have to gain permission in advance in ... more

...magnificent and luxury hotel the Burj Al Arab. I was lucky enough to spend two nights at this hotel during New Years Eve and New Years day 2008/2009. I had a friend who’s dad did a tone of import export business and thus I even managed to stay their for free, yes that’s right for free, under the condition that I paid for all my own food, and drink, which I was more than happy to at the time. Now everyone has either heard about this hotel, been their ...
...Background Information: So The Burj Al Arab is located in Dubai, which is in the United Arab of Emirates, about a 7 hour flight from London. The hotel is the second tallest building in the World, which is used as a hotel. The hotel itself is built around an artificial island 280 m (920 ft) out from Jumeirah beach, and is connected to the main land via a private bridge. The hotel started construction in 1994, and took only four years for the construction ...

Fantastic Luxury Hotel in Dubai

Advantages: Everything - a real experience hotel
Disadvantages: Cost - A little too far from Town for easy shopping/eating out

...and other icons. The Burj is said to be the world's only 7 star hotel - this is something that has to be taken with a pinch of salt, hotel stars are usually awarded by national tourist authorities and in my opinion are rarely an indication of quality or value for money. I'm not sure who awarded the stars to this hotel but in this instance they are completely deserved and then more. From the moment we arrived at the airport we knew we were dealing ...
...officer met us just before passport control - he took our hand luggage and walked us to the head of the queue, past the "priority" lanes and directly to the next free immigration officer, our passports were stamped within 2 minutes and we were off to baggage reclaim. Here things got a bit sticky because we were without our luggage - the airline (BA) had failed to load it and at that time did not know where it was. Realising that our luggage wasn't ...

Hi, I'm back from Dubai from my trip from last winter, and I'm actually surprised to see so much information on this city ! I thought I'd be innovative in going there but when I got there, I relaised it was pretty famous .. and I understand why. From what other say (http://www.still-searching.com/hotelsindubai.html) the city and accomodation are just incredible ... I didn't have the budget for the Burj Al Arab Hotel ... but the Fairmont did the trick! From my stay overthere, I got to see that Dubai offers the visitor a blend of modern city and timeless desert, east and west, old and new. Why I went: exotic destination with a cosmopolitan lifestyle, comfort and convenience of the Western world with the unique charm and hospitality of Arabia! Any more tips on this city, just drop me a line! ...

Review of Dubai (United Arab Emirates)

If in Dubai, stay at The Hilton Jumeirah!

Advantages: Beautiful beach hotel in the most buzzing area of Dubai!
Disadvantages: There is still construction surrounding the hotel, but everywhere has to start somewhere.

the Burj al Arab, The Burj Dubai, Al Qasr etc all worthy of 6/7 stars by traditional standards! The hotel boasts many facilites: *There is a fantastic beach club, surrounded by many others, which allows for long walks along the beach. *All the watersports that you would expect are available, for a reasonable extra price. *Large swimming pool with bar sunken into the pool. *Plenty of sunbathing space around pool and on the beach. *Beach side bar/restaurant called Wavebreaker, with pool table and shows major sporting events. *Beach volleyball and football facilities. *Waiter service to the sunbeds. *There is an excellent Spa & Health Club with a great little gym. (All recentley refirbished) *There are two fantastic restaurants which are so popular they attract many of the residents of Dubai on top of the hotel guests. Bice is ...

Snow in Dubai...?

Advantages: first ski slopes in Dubai, one of a kind, lots to do, family fun
Disadvantages: a sore bum from falling down so much!

place. Due to the location it very easy to get there and accessible, you can get any cab to take you there. Tourists staying at the Kempinski Hotel have access to the slopes just like the guests of Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach hotels' guests have access to Wild Wadi. SKI SLOPES OF DUBAI Upon entering the skiing area you do not feel as though you are in Dubai it is something that is both out of the norm and also fantastic beyond belief. Previously you were only able to sand board on Dubais sand dunes, now you can snowboard! There are 5 slopes ranging from very hard or expert skier to ameteur. don't worry if you cannot ski, like me, there are instructors to guide you through this adventure. The ticket price includes the use of equipment, snow boots, clothing etc so you do not have to arrive kitted out in skiwear in Dubais sweltering ...
