I wonder how many will remember the butlins song for kids?
Beavers, beavers, beavers all, we like sing and act a fool, we like to drink to keep us cool, we are the butlins beavers.....
Butlins has been around for some time now. Over the years it has changed, the main time being with the sell off. Some of the camps have now been sold. Like the ones in scotland and wales. This was probably down to to weather, cold in scotland and floods wales lately. Still Butlins is good for the children.
So what do butlins have to offer now?
Butlins now have 3 camps namely at bognor regis, minehead and skegness. The facilities at these camps have all improved over the years and have syline pavillion, splash waterworld, sports and leisure, centre stage and reds plus lots of bars and restaurants.Butlins is for all the family and has little clubs from birth
age right up to teens. Then night clubs for adults only too.
The camps are open for most of the year and the prices do vary from season to season. They also do with camp to camp. If you also go on a regular basis you can join the premier club, which allows you to obtain discounts on the holiday, The more you go the better the offers. This comes as bronze, silver and gold. My husband is in the bronze range and this year we recieved 25% off the holiday prices. They send you a credit sizes passport with membership number for use plus a badge.
Some of the items at the camps are:
big top concerts: ______________
These shows are at minehead and offer the big pop stars.Usually in november.
Family winter: ______________
These are gatherings of the family for events like christmas, easter, bonfire night etc.

This offers low prices and has older style furnishings twin or double rooms and a bath or shower. The self-catering ones have a lounge/ kitchenette with convertiblesofa bed. They are clean but very basic.
Christmas time is nice at most of the camps as carols are sung, plus a dressed up sledge goes round the camp. The children also get a pressent of santa. At this time of the year you will find the pantos plus half board usually changes to full board and self catering changes with the fact that a hamper is included.

The other camps are a little cheaper this one is often the dearest. All camps have beaches close and good transport for sightseeing nearby.
