The miserly sum of £260 was all I had to pay totake my wife and two teenage bvoys to butlinsself catering for a week .We didn't even have to stay in one of the old hi-de-hi style chalets!!There are now 4 different types of accommodation from economy,the very basic.Studio,better but with a family someone still has to sleep in the kitchen-cum -lounge.Gallery,spacious roomy with separate bedrooms.Deluxe,beautiful but out of my price bracket!!We stayed in gallery accomodation which was great.
As for the entertainment it was varied and well presented ,personally I would have preferred a few more shows on during the day ,but you cannot have everything.
We chose to go to minehead and had a great time ,we will definitely go again.

Advantages: Great fun, lots to do, well themed, brilliant location, very atmospheric Disadvantages: Expensive on site, get fat from all the drinking and junk food.
