i have just recently decided to take the kids on holiday for the first time on my own as i have just gone through a divorce and was used to family holidays and having the extra body there to help me with my two children.. who are aged ten and eight... the horrible age which on holiday can be any age...
butlins in skegness was the choice and what a choice it was i was dreading trying to keep them entertained and ammused plus i have always been abroad in the past... i would hightly recommend the holiday.. as there were both in door activities and out door ones going on all the time my son aged ten did football and swimming and took part in pantos and other great activites and the few small occasions when they were bored which i think i counted twice we went on the attached beach and the free swimming pool and the parks so they were always happy plus there was lots for me to do the food was cheap and i didnt need to cook once there is cinemas and other adult things to do (pubs) and shows plus there is a babysitting club for your litle ones to get looked after... and as a worried mum i was not sure weather to use it.. but they are all crb checked and qualified and they ring you if there is the smallest problem or come and find you which it what i trusted... i have booked another holiday and i cant wait for it... there is so much to do and look at and enjoy why go abroad again... i would recommend skegness to any one wanting a lone family holiday or a short break away with the kids... lots to do and see go for it

Good review but you could have maybe included info about prices and the different types of accommodation, etc.
I went to Butlins in Minehead last year with my son and I have to agree with you - they are brill for the kids - plenty to do. Loved it so much that I've booked to go again this year. Hope you enjoy your next holiday. Bye for now, Cath x

it was helpfull to highlight, the benifits of lone parent holidays, the children are lucky to have you take them on holidays well done, it has the makings of a good review,
