When Mrs P said, "Let's go Christmas shopping!", one day last year, REIMS was not the first place I had in mind.
But it seems it was for her.
We took advantage of a cheap flight deal with Ryanair to have a short break and maybe do a little Christmas shopping. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express which had a view of the Cathedral and was centrally situated.
REIMS is situated in the Champagne-Ardennes region of France. It is around an hours drive east of Paris at the junction of the A4 and A26 motorways.
The most famous sight in Reims has to be the 13th century NOTRE-DAME Cathedral, one of the most important historical sites in France.
Clovis, King of the Franks was christened by Bishop Saint Remi on this site in 496AD. Since then a further 32 Kings of France, in fact nearly all of them, have had their coronation here ...

Advantages: Delicious! Disadvantages: Can only eat in small quantities; the price
the nutritional information, but as I'd already bought them before noticing this, and had every intention of eating them all, I felt this information was somewhat irrelevant. After all, what's a little indulgence now and then! All I can say, having tasted them, is that they are very, very naughty! So if you feel that info was crucial to this review, then maybe you shouldn't be reading about chocolate products.
You lift off the lid and find that there are two layers of the truffles and they are packaged inside two little plastic bags. Each bag contains nine truffles.
~ What are they? ~
Well, they're chocolate truffles, and apparently made with Marc deChampagne. At a guess they're roughly one and a half times the size of malteser chocolates, and have a fine dusting of icing sugar on them. I've included a picture of the bags in the review if ...
I was fairly recently at a wedding where there were bottles of bubbles left on tables for guests to pick up.
These bottles of bubbles were in a small green bottle (plastic) 9cm tall, containing about ½ oz liquid. The bottle shaped like a champagne bottle with a gold coloured lid. There is a pink label on it saying bubbles and showing a picture of the rainbow wand.
Twist open the lid it is attached to a collar with a plastic fixer piece. The lid came off fairly easily. There is a little plastic wand inside the bubbles. Dipping the wand into the liquid the soap bubbble mix attached itself to the wand. Blowing the bubbles was easy they made lots and lots of small bubbles.
When we had all assembled to watch the bride and groom throw the bouquet that?s when a lot of people blew the bubbles instead of confetti.
