This is a very funky little bar, offering a good choice of booze and tunes. [And it costs only £4 to get in on Student Nights (Wednesdays)!!]

The CO2 Bar is situated under the Bobby Browns Nightclub. It is by the canal, just off Broad Street in Birmingham. Being a dedicated student of BirminghamUniversity, I have visited this groovy litte place a number of times on student nights... I have to say that I am a big fan!!
The actual bar isnt that big, but has a small dance area and enough ledges to prop yourself up on after a few too many Vodballs. It is decked out in wood and chrome and looks very cool indeed... it's very simple but yet effective! (But watch out for the metal steps later on in the evening cos they can be leathal after a drink or two has been spilt on them- believe me, I know!).
The CO2 Bar caters for all types of music tastes too, althought I think it depends what night you go on. On Wednesday (student night)it is usually quite funky, with some dance hits thrown in. There are also a few TV screens dotted about showing music videos etc. to keep you entertained.
The drinks on offer are good. On a typical student night, double vodka and redball usually costs about £2.50 and bottles of Zolensky, Cranberry or Blackcurrent Vodka Alcopops and Carlsberg usually cost £1. There is also a board showing other spirits on offer on a particular night also.
Finally, one major bonus of the CO2 Bar is that once you're in there, you have (free) access to the Bobby Browns Nightclub which is also incredibly trendy. A connecting door is opened later in the evening and you are able to go backwards and forwards as much as you like!
Overall, the CO2 Bar is an extremely cool little bar, although it is more geared towards students and people in their 20s. Student nights are highly recommended!!

I used to go there on a Saturday night out when I lived in the Midlands - don't like Bobby Browns though, bit of a weird place and far too small for the amount of people they let in (mind you I haven't been there for a year, so all could have changed!!).
