Ca' Nigra Lagoon Resort, Venice

Advantages: Romantic Destination for City break
Disadvantages: Can be Cold in Winter, as surrounded by water, Can be Smelly in summer.

...The Hotel Ca' Amadi was the perfect choice to take my girlfriend to propose to her. As she was already expecting me to do it, i thought that I would do the romantic thing and take her somewhere special I decided on Italy & Venice. Finding cheap filghts wasnt a problem, I booked flights from East midlands airport for £24 return flights each, bargain, I then set about finding the ideal hotel in my budget. I found that all of the well known venice hotels were expensive, for ultimately an impersonal standand room that could be in any city in the world. Using a website Veniceby.com I found a hotel that I thought would be way off my budget, the Hotel Ca' Amadi. Advantages: Wonderful touch of the old world in a unique city
Disadvantages: None (ok I'm sure there must be!)

...and you’re different from me. Still, most tourists follow the same route. A thing that is remarkable about Venice in this respect (and more than anywhere else I’ve been) is that it’s a wonderful place to meander. It may sound obvious when you consider the geographical and architectural nature of this unique lagoon-sinking city but it is the place to explore without feeling any distinct pressure to see this or that. Of course it sounds like a cliché but Venice is the monument in itself! If I do give you one pointer though and then it’ll seem (to me and to you) that I’m giving you at least some advise without patronising you and your freedom, it would be to try and visit St. Marks cathedral (I did on three trips). Advantages: excellent value for money
Disadvantages: if you hate shopping malls-stay away

...This resort is out of this world! It is like pulling up to a mini Las Vegas.Strings of neon lights,lots of people,restaurants,bars line the outside of it that is because this resort hotel is attached to a massive shopping complex, waterpark, ice rink.It actually has anything you can think of and is perfect for family, shoppers, people wanting relaxing time, nightlife and good food. It is excellent value for money, the rooms higher up than level 10 i think have their own kitchen for an extra £10 if you are staying longer(for business etc).The staff are very helpful and welcoming, they will know you by name within a week. The hotels restaurant has a buffet breakfast, dinner and lounge bar or you can keep walking straight through to an array of restaurants in the shopping mall.
