Advantages: Lots of shops and facilities, CARNIVAL!! Disadvantages: Nothing!
...Pewsey is situated in south Wiltshire and is one of the biggest villages. It has around 5000 residents. It has become a great place to live as there is a fast route to Paddington Station by train.
HISTORY
Pewsey was once owned by a Saxon king, King Alfred, and in the centre of Pewsey there is a statue of King Alfred now, it was built in June 1913. King Alfred was crowned King of Wessex in 870 CE it has been said that he went off to war and left his wife in the care of the people of Pewsey. When he returned, he granted the people Pewsey the right to have an annual feast. This feast was called the Feaste Ball that was held every other year, and now is part of the modern day Pewsey Carnival - held for two weeks in September and originally designed to raise funds for Savernake Hospital. Advantages: Family friendly, all inclusive, next to beach Disadvantages: Insects in rooms, no cash machine, not enough toilets
...Last week I came back from a holiday in Greece. We went to Rhodes and stayed in the Rodos Village in Kiotari. The Rodos Village is a 5 star all-inclusive resort which is situated in the east west coast of the island.
We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel (this was a pre-paid transfer from our holiday provider) The taxi took around an hour to get to the hotel. Since our flight was overnight, we arrived at the airport at 4.45am, so it was great to hop into a taxi and get to the hotel quicker than the coach would have taken.
We got to the hotel at around 6am. There are not only steps up to the hotel, but also a ramp. It was quite steep but it meant that I could wheel my bag up instead of carrying up the steps (always good if you're tired!)
Check in was quick. No one was around at that time since it was so early...

...Embudu Village - Maldives
The Maldives are off the lower west tip of Indian in the middle of the Indian Ocean. They are made up of several beautiful Atolls. Each Atoll has many islands and coral reefs, which look stunning from the air.
Embudu Village is in the South Male Atoll.
The Size of the Island is small only 280m x 240m
Flying time from the UK is average 10.5 hours. This time we flew with Thomsonfly (see my other review for details)
Transfer from the Airport is 45mins by slow boat or 20mins by fast speed boat.
This Island is rated 2*+, But is worthy of at least a 3*+ we booked this Island solely on recommendations and great reviews. So we were not sure what to expect. The basic price ( with no upgrades) for 2 weeks in an Island room on Full Board, flights and transfers was a bargain £800 each. You can...
