Advantages: An informative, fun day out all about chocolate! Disadvantages: None really. It's chocolate!
...they were taking her to Cadbury World and asked if I'd like to go as well. I told him it was a daft question and he knowing my love for chocolate said he thought I'd say something like that. Plus I'd already been before (summer 2003) so he and my Mum were asking me a few questions about it. So I popped on the website to see if it was the same since my last visit. Straight away I could see there was a 'Book now' section. After remembering my last ... ...in ok.
***Arriving at Cadbury World***
After parking (this is free) we made our way into Cadbury World. We still had to queue for our tickets but as we had booked in advance this was very simple and didn't take long. We had printed a copy of the confirmation email along with us and this is all they needed. They do tell you to make sure you have the credit or debit card, which you used but as far as I recall they never asked for it. It's better ...

Advantages: Lots of tasting chances, well priced entrance fee & good fun Disadvantages: No where to get a decent meal & can have lots of waiting around
...one day I decided on Cadbury world. I don't know why I thought of it and what to expect and to be honest we didn't even give it that much thought we just we would go on good Friday and spend the day there.
As it got closer to the time I got worried that it might be a bit childish and full of families and some people had commented that they didn't think it was very good.
How wrong were they it was a great day out and really enjoyable. Not at all ... ...a further 7 miles.
Cadbury world is situated in a town called Bournville in Birmingham. It is very easy to get to once you leave the motorway you go on a pretty straight road that is pretty well sign posted it takes you straight to Cadbury world.
Birmingham city centre is about a 15 minute drive away so if you are visiting Birmingham for shopping or sight seeing you wont have far to go to get to Cadbury world.
Midland Mainline also offers a good ...

Advantages: A varied and interesting range of exhibits and media Disadvantages: The restaurant service wasn't great
...girlfriend prefers chocolate. This makes Cadbury World in Birmingham an ideal place to take her for a day out. She's not alone, either, as more than half a million people have visited the attraction each year since it opened in 1990, which does mean that advance booking is strongly recommended as waiting times can exceed 3 hours for those without that foresight. It hardly seems fair, though; alcoholics get to go to meetings; chocoholics get to go ... ...the Bournville site of the Cadbury factory which has been in the area since 1879 and which, I was disappointed to discover, was not named after the chocolate, but after the Bourn stream which splits the site. This does make travelling there relatively easy, though, with the site accessible from the M5, M6 and M42 motorways for those driving and being around a 15 minute walk from Bournville railway station from those who don't. For those coming in ...

Advantages: You will be encompassed in Chocolate Heaven, and I've added some more up to date pictures! Disadvantages: Not good if you are allergic to chocolate or have a nut allergy
I first discovered Cadbury World about 7 years ago. We have made our annual pilgrimage ever since. Actually, we now go at least twice a year. I love it, and so do my husband and children. Cadbury World cost £6 million to design and build, and over 5 million people have visited since it opened on 14th August 1990. In fact 534,000 of these were during 2002 alone.
Where is it?

...A truly international city with all you ever want in a city included. I chose to come to Birmingham on the first visit when I booked a place to go to Cadbury's World which is a fun day out for all you chocolate lovers! The trip included a canal trip in the extensive canal network. It was a very enjoyable day and I would recommend the whole family to go to Cadbury's World. The second visit was a chance for me to shop and to experience the night life in the city. I had traveled up from London by train which took a few hours. Shopping was great with the widest ranges of shops. Night life in Birmingham was alive. Bars in the city were just as good anywhere else in the UK, some for the clubs too. Birmingham had excellent transport links with a International Regional Airport, Major Rail link, and the M40 & M5. Birmingham is full of culture...

Advantages: lots to do, easy to park and friendly people Disadvantages: Brummie accents (I'm allowed 'cus i'm a native!)
...we are talking about Brum). All this is a stones throw from the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, the Museum and Art Gallery, Central Library (ok so Prince Charles did liken the building to an incinerator, but it is the largest reference library in Europe - or was when I lived there!). These are all located amongst the central shopping areas where you can buy virtually anything, for any taste. Of course there are also loads of things to do within a short drive of the City centre such as the NEC, the National Motorcycle Museum (if that takes your fancy), Cadbury's World to name but a few. All this in a multicultural society where the people are very friendly - it has loads to offer, pay a visit!...
