Cadogan London Hotel has 65 tastefully decorated rooms and suites and is located on Sloane Street, Knightsbridge, one of London`s most prestigious addresses. Throughout the hotel, The Cadogan has the feel of a private townhouse where Edwardian Traditional meets Modern English elegance. A luxury lifestyle hotel with an air of discreet distinction and combines every comfort with an atmosphere still typical of the Edwardian era. The Cadogan was built in 1887. Soon after opening its doors, it became linked with two of the most fascinating personalities of the age, both at the centre of London's social and artistic life - Lillie Langtry and Oscar Wilde. Lillie Langtry, famous actress and close friend of Edward VII, lived at 21 Pont Street from 1892 to 1897. Long after she had sold the house, Lillie would stay in her old bedroom, by then a part of the hotel. The Cadogan is perhaps best known for its association with Oscar Wilde who was arrested in room 118 in 1895. This incident at The Cadogan was immortalised by John Betjeman in his poem \\\The Arrest of Oscar Wilde at the Cadogan Hotel.\\\" Today The Cadogan has the feel of a private townhouse steeped with British old-world elegance. The experience is complemented by touches of unexpected modernity, which are subtly woven in to bring this historical building into the 21st Century."
Advantages: Vibrant cosmopolitan city. Lots of celebrities to see Disadvantages: Expensive

Wilde, the very impressive drama centered around the life of the playwright and bon vivant Oscar Wilde, which starred Stephen Fry and Jude Law, used a number of locations in London for filming. They included Somerset House, Borough Market, Lincoln's Inn, Middle Temple and the CadoganHotel.
The main location for the hugely popular romantic comedy, Notting Hill, produced by Duncan Kenworthy and starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts, was the Portobello Road area of Notting hill and some scenes were also shot at Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath, North Lo
ndon.
The 19th James Bond movie, The World is Not Enough, which starred Pierce Brosnan, involved scenes featuring the River Thames and a tussle atop the Millenium Dome in Greenwich.

Advantages: Great location, Comfortable beds. Disadvantages: Grubby
...+++++++Intro+++++++++
This is a review of the Garth Hotel in Gower St London. I have noticed that offers for other Garth Hotels pop up around this review, so be careful which one you are looking at. Its a large 5 story terraced house currently used as a Hotel. There are a lot of steep stairs and no facilities for disabled people that I could see.
+++++++++Location++++++++++
The first thing to say about the Garth Hotel in Gower St is that the location is brilliant. Especially if you want to go to the British Museum, Tottenham Court Road or Oxford St. Its also very handy for Euston Station which is only a five minute walk away.
++++Common Areas++++
It is a budget hotel and has to be judged as such. As you enter through the front door you realise the walls are lined with interesting prints, a theme continued throughout the hotel...

Advantages: Beautiful setting in a buzzing part of London Disadvantages: Not suitable for disabled people - no lift
...The Ashley Hotel is a superb, well-priced B&B hotel in a gorgeous location in central London. It is situated in Norfolk Square, Paddington, and is just 2 minutes walk from Paddington station.
Paddington itself is a buzzing district of London adjacent to the West End, and is packed full of shops, restaurants, bars etc. Norfolk Square is an oasis of tranquility amongst this. It is a square (obviously) of tall, elegant Victorian mansions, all of which have been turned into budget hotels.
The hotels are painted white and cream, and have tall windows and beautiful old railings outside. In the centre of them all is a railed garden. Obviously, it was once a place of residence for people of means in the Upstairs-Downstairs tradition. The Ashley Hotel comprises 3 mansions made into one, and has 50 (I think) rooms.
The reception...

Basically, if you're considering staying here, you probably have a small budget. If this is the case, I can reccommend it as it is great value for money. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms are basic yet clean, and the breakfast is more
